I didn't try to get tickets to this one, but it seems like ticket sales are horrible for the second show. I have been checking ticketmaster occasionally since noon (its 6:30 now) and there have been GA, Loge, and Club seats available the whole time. I guess this is a good thing though because the market for scalpers will drop considerably. Still, its surprising after the first show sold out instantly.

  • I got a single nose bleed seat for the Georgia Dome, it's right by the stage and it only came out to 42 bucks, not too bad! They still have plenty of seats for that show and the Tampa show. I guess no night two for Atlanta.

I just got a ticket to see U2 in my hometown of Pasadena (I technically live in Altadena). I could literally walk to the Rose Bowl because I live that close. For $42.40 I'll be in Section 26-L, Row 55, Seat 24. Who else is going to see them at the Rose Bowl?
    11/6/95, 11/18/97, 7/13/98, 7/14/98, 10/24/00, 10/25/00, 10/28/00, 6/2/03, 6/3/03, 6/5/03, 7/6/06, 7/7/06, 7/9/06, 7/10/06, 7/13/06, 7/15/06, 7/16/06, 7/18/06, 10/21/06, 4/10/08, 4/13/08, 9/30/09, 10/1/09, 10/6/09, 10/7/09, 10/9/09

Yeah, it appears TM held back some GA's in the morning and they showed up again around 3PM, stayed there for quite a while, gone now.
I have GA for both Gillette shows.
Looks like some decent lowers are only $97.50 price, like section 113 and 128. Apparently only sections 110-112 and 129-131 in the lowers were the $252 price, but all the Club levels were $252 (not a good value when you can sit in 113 or 109 for $97.50).

2nd show is definitely selling slow, but with 144k tix out there, the market can flood easily, thats as much as the 7 Garden show they did for Vertigo, and diehards can't go to 6 or 7 shows ( I did 6 last tour), only 2, so its harder to sell all of them.
    This weekend we rock Portland

Me, too, except replace Georgia Dome with BC Place. My total was also $42 on the nose. Interesting that both the US and CAD prices are exactly the same. I would have expected ours to be at least 15% higher since our dollar is weaker again.

BC Place holds 59,687 in the seats - not sure how many tickets were sold in the GA/floor section, but I'm sure it's well over 60,000. I really hope the sound in the stadium has been upgraded since the last time I saw anyone play there - 1994 Grey Cup halftime show featuring Tom Cochrane on an oversized flatbed truck. Don't know if U2 can out-glam that, but I'm sure they'll try. ;) My seat is in the last row in the stadium, though, so I'm really not expecting to hear nothing more than tinny vocals over muddy bass and drums.
    But that's okay. 8-)

Nobody can outglam Tom Cochran on an oversized flatbed truck!
