Too bad they're playing the Georgia Dome. That place sucks acoustically speaking so I guess I'll save my money.

So that REALLY means after all the BS fees they will really be about $75.00, still a good deal, but I'm so SICK of BULLSHIT service fees, just tell me what the tickets REALLY cost up front. The biggest scam I recently discovered is I bought tickets for The Pretenders show here in Austin, I was already downtown the day before the show, so I stopped by Stubb's where they were going to play to buy my ticket. Almost all venues do not charge a service fee if you purchase your ticket at the box office, well guess what, they still charged me the "service" fee, when I complained about it the person said, I know we've had SEVERAL complaints!

Anybody else out there pissed that they're going back to stadiums?

At first I was kind of annoyed. I have seen them there past two tours in 20,000 person venues and have been completely satisfied. I have only been to a stadium show once before and wasn't really that impressed. However, after seeing U2's stage setup and knowing how they put on one of the best live shows out there I am still really excited. Scored GA field tickets to Gillette. My only complaint is that they are starting their US tour in September and playing Gillette (in mass) in late September. You really never know how the weather is going to be like. Would have been nice if they started it in August.

Actually that is pretty normal these days. I paid $100 for Bruce Springsteen, $60 for Kings of Leon and the last Pearl Jam tour was around $70.00-$75.00. Unfortunately that's just the way it is. There are also plenty of seats for U2 that are low in price, just not close to the stage and most likely in the upper deck.

Personally, I think paying around 75.00 is worth every penny. They put on an amazing live show with the best visual effects I have ever seen live and always seem to play for a good 2 1/2 hours. Now that I think about it I actually paid less for this tour than I did for their previous two.

My bad, wasn't paying attention. Thats probably around 20-30 more per ticket than in the states. I wonder why that is the case? More service charges, etc?

I noticed that all the US Stadium shows that went on sale today are sold out. Considering the size of these venues I am curious how quickly they sold out and what type of luck people had with tickets? Could you get good seats right away or were you immediately give seats in the balcony? I'm interested to find out how many seats were sold during the 3 day presale.

On a side note, it seems Snow Patrol will be opening for U2 for the Boston shows and Muse the New York shows. You lucky fuckers in NY, I would love to see Muse open for U2!!

I know, me too!!! I think we've got SP here in TO too, I lost interest once I saw we weren't getting Muse. SP wont be that bad though. Didn't do the gen sale, but picked up seats for TO1 and a friend grabbed me a GA for TO2 in the presales. TO1 sucked in the presales, many people were pissed - I think a lot of seats/GA were reserved for RIM or something - maybe it was just fan demand though, I'm not sure, but whatever GA was available got snapped up pretty quickly - the Breathe & Boots tiers didn't even have a chance.

I tried to get tix for Foxboro this morning at 10:00 exactly when they went on sale, and had no luck at all. WTF! A venue that can hold 75000 and sold out in minutes? Of course three minutes later they're already posted on craiglist for $thousands. I'm just a girl that wants to see a great show and not break the bank, too bad for me.

Wow, that fast? Crazy! Just to let you know, they announced a second show on monday september 21st. Tickets go on sale April 6th (i think, but you should check ticketmaster just in case) and hopefully the demand won't be as high. Also, I would worry about getting a ticket, even tickets for Eddies solo show were selling for face (or really close to face) the day of the show. I am sure a venue of that capacity, and the addition of a second show, will really help in terms of scalpers dropping their prices. Don't cave in and buy one now!

Oh, I hear you. I gave in and paid a ridiculous amount for EV solo in Boston only to find I could have gotten better seats for less money the day of... so yes, I still have hope, it's just frustrating! I didn't know about the 2nd show either - thanks! :)

look around and see if you can find a presale code for the venue itself. doubt anyone will give up their u2.com code, but you should be able to at least find the venue presale code somewhere. The presale for Bos II is tmw till thurs. Good Luck.

Paid 30 in Chicago and as big as they are and to offer tickets at 30 is really impressive and does show that they do no feel they are bigger than the fans. After all without fans there is no U2.

i agreed to go to toronto. yesterday i get an email saying you're in, that'll be $212. holy shit. unless ed or tom waits turns out to be an unannounced opener, i will never pay to see them again after this.

Wow, you definitely got the short end of the stick with that one. I knew that there were some tickets above $200, but if I read correctly it was only around 10% of the venue. Ticketmaster definitely tricked people with that one because if you select best available it initially selects the highest priced tickets. I would be pissed to pay that much too.

The way I look at it, $100 is about the max I would pay to see U2....or any band for that matter. At least with U2 shows you are guaranteed a 2-2 1/2 hour set from U2 and a opening band that usually is great. Wish I was getting Muse in Boston, but Snow Patrol is OK. Was hoping for the KOL rumors to be true.

Ahh.. better luck this time around, I got field seats (although technically they are not 'seats') for the 2nd show! My friend also bought tickets (we figured two of us trying was a good idea). She got actual seats, but farther back, so now I don't know which might be better.

Have any of you seen shows at Foxboro (Gillette) ? Any thoughts field vs. seats?

I grabbed the $90 level seats for the second Chicago show. I'm hoping to be able to trade them for the saturday show, even if it involves me taking a drop in seat position. The second show is on Sunday and my first day at my new job is Monday... in Cleveland. So I don't know if I can really go to the Sunday show. Hopefully this 360 thing is legit, because my seats are kinda behind the stage.

I'm bummed Snow Patrol is the opener. They're not bad, but I've seen them about 3-4 times already and they got old quick. Muse would be too cool :(
