Eddie Vedder Solo DVD?

I was just wondering if anybody heard about this...if you went to the Washington D.C show on the Sunday night Eddie mentioned that the show was being recorded for a possible DVD release. Anybody else hear about this or remember this being mentioned?

    They might be saving the footage for a blu-ray release. And include other clips from the East & West tour! That would be sweet! 8-)

    I don't think he said "for dvd release" but he did make mention of the cameras and thanking everyone, and referring to "documenting" that particular evening, or something. I forget the exact words, but I don't remember anything saying "dvd".

    i didnt go to any of the shows -in seattle-
    so i really hope they release at least one of his shows on DVD or CD
    Maybe it'll come out whenever their new album does? Or better yet when Ten is released. Who knows who knows... 8-)

    yeah, that is what he alluded too, maybe something for everyone later on or something like that. I don't ememebr him saying DVD either. But there were signs everywhere that they were filming the shows and obviously the camera crew.

    I wonder if since Ed was annoyed with the crowds at many of the shows (including DC), if he is not in a hurry to re-live the tour and hence why we haven't heard much about it?

    Correct. I believe their intent was to record for the potential to release. However, PJ professionally recorded their MSG shows in 1998, I believe even with mics hanging over the audience for additional ambient sound... yet, no official recording of that has been released by them in 11 years. So, we'll see.

    I know I would purchase at least the two shows I was at if they were on dvd! New York City I was amazing, but nothing will compare to Montreal II to my daughter and I (we got to go up on stage with Eddie while he sang a song for her)!! But anyways I know alot of fans here would purchase multiple shows, so hopefully this will happen, more so to please the fans, than to sell dvd's (which is what PJ are all about - pleasing and not screwing their fans)!

    I would love a Vedder tour solo DVD very much. Those were great shows.

    Where at? I just came back to this cuz Id been waiting to hear about anything coming from those DC shows, and I got re-newed interest when this cameron crowe talk came about (Probably not connected tho).

    There is no way any form of DVD for Eddie's solo shows exist! Not even possible.

    i wouldn't look into it too much.
    maybe a track off the DC stuff is going to be on the 10C single...

    granted, if there was a chicago night 1 recording, i'd buy a few copies in a heartbeat.

    i wonder if ed is doing another mini-tour this summer to film/tape more shows for an official dvd release?

    Maybe an Eddie solo show will be the precursor for promotion and release of some sort of DVD from last summer? I was at EV DC2 and would love to see a DVD of that memorable performance. Signs everywhere that it was being videotaped. I think his new tour will spark a lot of new interest. Just a thought...

    I was at the 2nd DC show and they were filming. Trixie DVD is the name of Brendan Canty's (Fugazi) production company which was filming both shows at the Warner Theater. Until Eddie introduced him I had no idea who he was. During the show he was standing on the right side of the stage filming the show. Before All Along the Watchtower Eddie went into this little thing about Fugazi and introduced Brendan Canty and put him on the spot by asking him to play drums for the one song, which he did.

    They clearly have the footage to release a full length DVD but I think it comes down to Eddie and whether or not he wants to release it.

    It would make sense they wouldn't release a DVD if they knew more shows were going to be added. Hopefully after these latest shows are done we get some sort of solo release.

    If they released the best versions of each song and all the different covers it would be great..worth the wait..rather than one complete show..the best of all 3 legs..i.e. hurt..and some PJ songs not played on the first west coast legs
