Thanks 10C, Your The Best...

10C worked with me and it is all good now. I tell you one thing, I will never F*CK up again. They are awesome people, so I don't want to EVER hear anyone give them grief. That is why my original post was still polite, but just full of sadness...lol

    I feel for the OP because it really sucks that he missed it by one day. But you have to draw the line somewhere and they drew it at 90 days. Truth of the matter is, if the membership means that much to you, you wouldn't even let it get to day 1, let alone day 90. It does suck for you though as I have been a member for 10 years too and I would hate to lose my mem #.

    I think that by paying it every year, for ten years, DOES show it means the world to me. Yes, I messed up one time, but is that an automatic strike against my dedication? Maybe...I am really down right now.

    10c should do the right thing here. Yes there are rules, but if ever there was a good case for a rare exception this would be it.

    I feel for you, as I lost a # from a 1996 members, but are you truly discussing an event that happened over a year ago just now? Or perhaps you meant to say December of 2008 instead of 2007?

    Yeah dude that does suck, I've been in for 13 years, and I'd be suicidal (almost) if I lost my number...here's a hopeful bump to get this some exposure! Get the word out!

    The letter states that my membership expired on Sept. 31st, but I did not "pay-up" again UNTIL (not the word AFTER) Dec. 31st. That is a ONE day difference...

    Well, I just tried to renew my membership and had NO idea that it had been reset last year...my membership ends around 3rd quarter each year and the grace period stretches to about the end of the year. That is why I just payed for this last year.

    Also, I forgot to mention (I should have, for it helps me out) that I do recall them telling me this when it happened and they said it would be only time they gave me a second chance....I mentioned that in the letter I sent them, so I hope they remember.

    i feel for ya....last year i renewed my membership for 5 years so i wouldn't have to worry about it and i've made myself a reminder in outlook for when it gets close to expiring

    Good luck! The folks at 10c are good reasonable people as far as I can tell.

    what i think really sucks about this thing is that they gave seniority back to MANY people that had gaps of years sometimes. they just had to provide proof of their old number. i know they had to draw the line somewhere, but one day after 10 years...c'mon.

    I wondered about that too. It sucks, I don't want to defend either side, but 10c gets put in a hard spot too, because what do they do when the next person misses by three days, a week, or two weeks? Or a month. They do have to draw the line somewhere.

    It happened to me a few years back, signed up in 2000 and renewed the first few yrs then I went thru some BS in my life and forgot to renew and lost everything. Got pissed and left for a couple yrs, now I am BACK!!!! I have no one to blame except myself, but blaming myself for stupid things is a waste of energy. Get back on ur horse and keep on riding!!

    Man - That really sucks. I'm rooting for you! I hope the Ten Club gives your # back.

    I'm still confused about the year difference though - I mean, didn't you use your number for tickets this past summer? I'm new to 10club so maybe I don't fully understand how the lottery/presale stuff works.

    Either way, I'm pulling for you! C'mon Ten Club - ten years means something - in my humble opinion. Just think of the karma return on this one ;)

    hmm my parents were members around '95
    why'd/howd those people get their numbers back? i imagine its impossible for my folks to get their old # back now that its 2009.

    I feel bad for you, and to be honest it made me go check I'd paid mine up to date! ;)

    I just wonder why you waited three months to pay it? Why not just pay it on or before the end of September? You weren't really 1 day late, you were over three months late. You've done it again just now, why not just pay at the end of December when it's due? The grace period isn't there to extend your due date, it's there for when you "forget" to renew on time.

    10C gave old numbers back in the day because really seniority didn't mean that much until late 90s, maybe 2000 was the first tour with seniority seating? Anyway, it's such a big deal to people now they have to make a rule. If it was up to me I'd say a month is long enough to get your stuff together, but they're nice enough to offer three months. Then you miss the three month grace period by a day and you still want more? I've also been a member for about 10 years, it wasn't that hard to keep paying on time.

    I'm not trying to get on your case, I feel bad for you, but those are the rules. I hope you get your number back, but I don't think you should. Certainly don't come back and tell us, that will only end in trouble! :)
