That´s like $ 2.90 more than i would be willing to pay for it. Once he returns to Euphoria Morning or his Soundgarden style i´ll be all over his stuff but i don´t need mor Timbaland sounds out there.
  • i swear some of you are just racist mother fuckers and won't buy/like it because Timbaland produced it...if it sucks it sucks..but i heard wayyyyy too many people talk shit just because of who was producing it and that's bullshit...like a black man who produces hip-hiop/R & B can't produce Rock n' Roll?? fuck off!

You can shove your foot in your mouth anytime now. NO ONE said it had ANYTHING to do with the guy being black for fuck sakes. Did it dawn on you that it MIGHT be because he produces RAP/HIP HOP?? Not too many fans of that around HERE. I am sure there are other folks (and some here) that may like it, but considering his(Cronell's) background and the bands he has been in and all, I think it has more to do with the genre of MUSIC he produces than the color of his fucking skin!

I got it for free when I bought a ticket to his show here in a couple weeks. I still think i paid too much for it. :)

Hopefully the setlists will be chock fulla Soundgarden and TOTD.

And whomever said the negativity was due to racism is a goober. No one acted like this when Beck worked with Danger Mouse. Cause that was, you know, good.

Timbaland has produced some great albums but it just doesn´t work in my opinion with Cornell but i guess that has more to do with Cornell than Timbaland.

By the way Ray Charles is my all time favorite musician.

I will be buying the CD today. I heard one of the shows on his European tour and he played the whole album straight through in the main set. it sounded better with a live band. IMO, Cornell has earned his credibility with me and I will give anything he does a chance. plus I'm somewhat bored with music, so hearing something different is intriguing.

It sounded 'better'.. not WOW or 'how f*** exciting'... just 'better live'. If it is just 'better' live, I'm wondering what you think if the CD album.

This album is not 'different'... just quite piss poor.

Though.... Ed... I agree... Two drink minimum.... good ol' CC there.

His shows are still bloody ace to go to, you just get a few scream songs, but he has been whacking out some nice SG and TOTD stuff, also Audioslave. Like dandellion acoustic! Like suicide, zero chance, my wave, gun, reachdown etc

Like some others, I get it free (download) with the show tix. Reserving judgement for now...

I see we haven't learned anything since the Trans album.

Why don't we start going to his shows and scream "Judas"?

    It's one album. Loosen up.

And before you say anything...YES IT IS THE SAME THING. Just different era.

for any longtime Cornell fan, this album is not a WOW album after the first listen or two. I'm not disgusted by it without even hearing it like most people here. he has earned the credibility so I will always give him a chance. I just picked it up during lunch, and the parts I have heard of the album are decent and may grow on me, and they may not. I try to be open minded with artists who have blown me away in the past.

I am a fan of rap and hip hop, but Timbaland still sucks. He is to rap now what Puff Daddy used to be... the most boring, safe, generic R&B production possible. File him with will.i.am. It's boring shit. Danger Mouse doing Beck/the Black Keys worked out fine. I always knew Crazy Breed was nuts, now he's revealed his true colors at last.

    Or three.. or four.. or....

It is just not at CC level. Shame to be blown away and then have to accept 'decent and may grow on me'.

One can still be blown away live.. as long as he stays away from performing scream from start to finish.

no foot in the mouth here! i know no one said it was cause he's black..i can fucking read! no one would have the balls to say it was cause he is blackeven if they thought it!! i said a black man who produces hip-hop! then you turn around and say "Did it dawn on you that it MIGHT be because he produces RAP/HIP HOP??" did you even fucking read what i said or did you just see the first line and respond before reading the rest?

you really think someone who produces rap can't produce rock? or vise versa? does the name Rick Rubin ring a bell?

you don't know shit about real rap so don't try to act like you do....and the problem isn't me being nuts..the problem is peoples lack of reading comprehension.
