Q: Where are you favourite places to tour?

Mike: I love England a lot.

Jeff: Europe is certainly on our radar right now and were still trying to figure out how to sanely tour there at some point in the next 18 months. A lot of its gonna depend on how quickly we finish up our new record.

AM LOVING THIS BIT.........hope they sort that out and do an EXTENSIVE Euro/UK tour :D

You need to consider who the interview was conducted with.

No kidding. A lot of PJ fans are like that psycho ex-gf everyone has. You're like "Wow, they opened a cool museum in San Diego" and she's out the next night telling her friends "Oh my God! He's taking me on a vacation to San Diego to propose to me in the new museum! I'm so happy!"

Stone: Nothing Man. I didnt write it. Jeff Ament wrote it, Dave Abbruzzese plays great drums on it.
Woow did i read that right? Something positive about Dave A. Finally the band seems to realize how amazing he was. Maybe going through their back catalogue helped :D

yeah, thanks for posting. that was a great read. I am excited to read more interviews as it seems like the band is doing quite a bit of press for the re-release.

That really was a good interview! Nice!

The fact that they list Alive & Evenflow so much though...makes me think they're never, ever gonna see rotation in and/or out of the setlists... Oh well. Cool interview. And yeah, good to see Stone said "Dave played great drums"????? Shocker.

I hope Dave A get's some nice royalties out of this ten package, for his appearance on unplugged.
He deserves some compensation.I'm sure he can use some. ;)
  • ummm not to be stupid here but has this EVER been uttered as how the band name came to BE?!?!?!?!?

    Q. The band were originally working as Mookie Blaylock the name of a pro basketball player. After they signed to Epic Records it became clear they would have to find another name for legal reasons. How did you settle on Pearl Jam?
Mike: Jeff, Ed and Stone saw Neil Young jamming for a long time so the word jam was there. I remember this list of names and we were sitting around the B&O coffee shop on Broadway. Pearl was up here and Jam was there amongst all these other words and we were putting them together. Jeff put those two together and we were like thats it.
