I don’t think membership number/seniority even matters any more. It doesn’t get you a guarantee with tickets anymore. The new lotto does that and keeps it “fair” to anyone, including anyone who just signed up yesterday. And as much as I want to believe it factors into seating location, my seats seem to be getting further and further back each show to the point I find myself watching a video screen because the band looks like ants on stage.
If there was ever a guarantee, it was before 2003. Ever since 2009 or 2010, it was always a sort of lottery. Even F5 was a type of lottery.

Seniority absolutely matters for seat assignments in USA shows. As far as people getting pushed back, more and more people are traveling greater distances to shows. A 279xxx in 2003 or 2006 would be decent seats, but a much worse view in 2018, as everyone would have traveled to Seattle or Chicago.

( sorry if this is a repeat querie, where it's already been answered, i just havent found where- is there a way to get one's history stats w/ the club-just for personal info?  Like I have been a long term member, who lapsed circa '12, then joined again '17- I'm just not certain when i joined the 1st time, in the '90's -although people have said it was the later '90's cuz the # i was aware of that I had was a 176××× for over?14 years or so. But in 1995 i got 4 tixs with my name on them for the San Jose show 11/4/95- so didnt I have to be a TC member then to have gotten those?--i just can't recall for sure for awhile. Just wondering...cuz I thought i had already sent in the $5. member fee before that show...Just a personal history timeline thingy i was wondering about...)
Don't think you could get 4 tix for San Jose through 10club, only 2, so those were probably through general sale. I think the ticketing agent (ETM) put the name of the purchaser on all tickets in 95 & 96.
    This weekend we rock Portland

It matters for Reserved Seats I think......Seems like my the reserve seats for me in the past 7 years have ranged anywhere from right behind GA to 4 sections behind GA which is a pretty big variance.    And you never know.....they could go back to seniority any time and then people will bitch because they let their membership lapse because with the current system they think their number doesn't matter.
    Like a word misplaced...nothing said...what a waste

Thanks for clearing that up for me- I couldn't recall the details of how I got that opportunity-but I do remember that Pearl Jam show, cuz it was my first "proper" Pearl Jam experience & a very good show.

For the San Jose show, you had to present your SF ticket Stub from June show that Eddie was sick. I recall going to an office in SF and exchanging the tickets plus 10 each... I was not in the club back then.
