My wife and I were front row in 2003 at Molson. Would love to go back again, but we are expecting our first child in October, so the earlier the better.

if they plan on doing the ampletheater in Toronto...do you think they will do Jone's Beach again?...i generally prefer amps over arenas or stadiums cause you can hear the music so much clearer...not that it matters...also jones beach being right on the water and only a few exits down the LIE from me, i love it as a summer venue...and i love my JB boots from '00 let's hope!
Personally, I prefer indoor shows for MANY reasons but always like a couple of outdoor shows mixed in there too.

well for me, they both have their pro's and cons...

Outdoor: PRO: clearer sound, enjoyment of the beautiful whether, Sunsets, the scenary (especially on the water or at a place like the gorge) a nice cool breeze as night approaches to cool you down. CON: low energy, not a great light show prior to sunset and even after sunset isn't the greatest. chance of not so great whether

Indoor: higher energy level, second-hand high from the haze of weed smoke (thats for straight edgers like me, it's like a guiltless high), better light shows CONS: low sound clearity, nothing that has to do with beautiful scenery aside from maybe stage scenery (depending on the act you are seeing) humidity and heat sometimes unbearable from so many people in one room and all the ventalation is clogged by all the smoke, also sometimes the smoke is so thick, you can't see the people on the floor when the lights are on which also means no one can see the band through the haze.

so weighing those pro's and con's i prefer outdoor...the only thing is how it's a lower energy level...but the energy can still be rather high outside...i mean when i say a low/high energy level is how like it's more...hectic...for lack of a better term...now i've never been to a festival stye outdoor show (well a large one with well-known bands) so i mean that's kind of like a combo of the two from what i've seen/heard

i have had the pleasure of seeing Rush twice, playing the same set list (well there were one or two changes) at both Jones Beach and MSG and that was the day i realized how different outdoor and indoor are and that i prefered outdoor, though that doesn't mean i wont fully enjoy an indoor show but i just love outdoor shows so much

And I am putting pressure on my sources. My brother is going to call him early next week to ask if there is an update on the situation.

Sooo, we should go ahead and start making reservations? Who lives in Toronto by the way? I will need a roomie :D

2003 Molson Ampitheatre was a great experience for me as Eddie was gracious enough to chill with a bunch of us in the parking lot after the show while he was going for a bike ride.

Well the toronto show is a possibility since the last few years Eddie has been involved in movies/documentaries that were shown at the TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival). Festival runs during the summer so if hes got any involvement in any films why not just play a sold out Molson Ampitheatre.

    Keeping fingers crossed.

the TIFF runs every year during the 2nd and 3rd weeks of September, so not exactly during the "summer" months; however, there's no real connection between eV's previous (or possible future) appearance at the TIFF and the potential for an upcoming Toronto show,...
