I loved the lottery last year. I hope they do it again.

    Really? Is this true?

Yeah, based on the feedback from the past, I'd say you're in the minority with your opinion. Most people were really pleased, and even those who didn't win still weren't negatively affected enough to have a problem with it either.

Yes to the lottery. I know a couple people who got lucky. Not me, but I'm happy for the people who got the chance.

I agree, I did not win, but I still like the chance at first two rows.

i thought it would be months before i had to respond to one of these threads......

because i cant tell you how much i enjoyed people here last tour.......telling others how they felt they were being "PUNISHED" because now they were sitting in the 3rd row instead of the 1st row.....

i hope the people who usually get the first 10 rows.....

end up sitting on the roof of the burger king across the street from the fucking venue.............

I would sacrifice 5 rows for the chance to get up front. :P

So last summer my usual row 30 seats became row 35... :D

I thought it was great- I was a lucky lottery winner. I would have never gotten in the front row. It gave the opportunity for those who never got to the front a chance. Share people- it will come back to you! :D

Took the words from my mouth. The arrogant sense of entitlement among some of this band's long-time fans is repulsive. They remind me of this girl:

I hope they expand the lottery to the first 5 rows, I don't care how far back it moves me.

  • The great thing about being in Europe?

    No lottery :D

Although if we had it, I wouldn't bitch. It's part of being in 10C.
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

I was just about to say the same thing about Europe.

Its every man for himself. If you're dedicated enough, you'll get the front!!

i hope they expand the lottery for the next tour.

give even more new, younger fans a chance to see a show up close.
i'd be more than happy to give up a seat in the first 5 rows to a first timer.

it would make my day actually.

I agree with this statement. I also knew some people that won the lottery and I was happy as heck for them. :)

I hope they get rid of the lottery too. I would hate to sit with the zombies up front.

As compared to sitting with the obsessive freaks, who are trying to deal with their imaginary relationship with Eddie Vedder????????

Depending on your number, you lose 4 rows. I know this because my seats for Hartford 06 and 08 were the exact same seat numbers in the same section but 4 rows further back.

That said, I'm pro lottery because it's worth it for a shot to get up front for a show. I hit the lottery at my hometown show and it was worth being 4 rows back the other shows I went to.

The vast majority of these long-time fans whose posts I read here said that they supported the lottery and were grateful for the great seats past and present.

This thread sucks about as much as the OP's math skills. 2+4=4. Not 5. You will be 4 rows further back because of the lottery. And the lottery is a great idea. I hope it makes a come back on the next tour.

I really liked the lottery as well.
The only thing I would like to see changed is that you can only win once per tour.
I know someone last year that won it twice in consecutive nights.

Very cool back to back lottery winning. :D
