I'm not telling anyone what to do or trying to pass judgement by any means......I'm just saying it would be cool if band members could some way personalize the 10C Pre Orders. I know that things will always be flipped. That's the way it is........fans will be stoked no matter what it says though really! I was just trying to get some attention for the Pre Order signatures. This was just an idea. I hope they sign them all for every person that ordered early. If mine is signed by Vedder, and has a Wave doodle on it for example........I'll be walking on air all the way home! The truth is I'm stoked just to get it. Signed or unsigned. It's like a little PJ time capsule. One I'll never sell.
If I'm a flipper and planning on selling it, something like a wave doodle by Ed is only adding and extra $ sign to my price tag. If you're going in with the idea of selling it, I don't think there's anything that could convince you to change your mind.

I agree with you. If you are set on selling it, then that's what will happen. Flipping will always take place. This was just an idea that may help cut down on flipping, as well as spark interest for the signing of as many 10C pre orders as possible. I know we will see these on ebay right after they come out though. You won't see any listed on the bay by me, signed or unsigned.
I think this is a bad idea. My girlfriend bought me a set for Christmas and I wouldn't want it to be personalized to her. Didn't you just say you bought one for your husband?

Sweet! I knew the band would support all the crazy loyal fans. They try and go out of the way for 10C. I have waited so long for this. This was a Christmas present I bought for my husband.[/quote]

Maybe you're right. I'm not 100% sure he would want it personalized to be honest with you. He did think it was very cool of the band to sign some of them though. Aloha

On top of that if the band is taking the time to personalize and doodle and that sort of thing, that means there is a smaller supply of signed boxes. With a smaller supply the price a flipper can get only increases even more.

True.......I wouldn't want to see anything like that happen....
Is there a way to try and limit flipping....while doing special things like this signing for 10C members? :?:

Only way is any box set's that are signed, that get's put on eBay, will be taken down by 10club.
Like Pearl Jam fan made DVD's that get on eBay! I email auction@tenclub.net and the auction get's checked and soon get's taken down.
But seeing this is an official release by the artist! And stores will be selling them (not the signed ones), there is nothing anybody can do.
i hear talk they're bringing them in for one day and having them sign as much as they can
Where could you have possibly have heard somehting like that, other than from the band or management directly??
someone emailed the 10C and asked how the band members would go about signing the Deluxe boxsets, and that was 10C's answer,...

I spoke with 10C on the phone yesterday and they said the band will be coming in for one day and signing as many as possible, then randomly choosing signed sets to be sent out to memebers that pre ordered.
