    Sad
    Fatal
    Education
    Down
    Otherside
    Undone

    vs.

    Evacuation
    Gods' Dice
    Grievance
    Cropduster
    Ghost
    Get Right
    LBC
    I Am Mine
    Green Disease
(actually, every song on Riot Act is worse than the 3 b-sides from that album, only All or None and 1/2 Full come close)

Gods Dice, Grievance and I am Mine are amazing songs!!! Especially God's Dice (live)

Better than Sad, Undone, Down, Fatal, and Other Side?

What confuses me is the fact that someone posts on a Pearl Jam message board and takes as big of a jab as they are trying to "be artsy."

I respect the fact that some people don't like them, but that's just bizarre to me.
Some people take their Pearl Jam too seriously.

For me, it's a love-hate relationship. I feel like I have the right to bash them if I dont like their products.
I used to defend them all the time but not anymore.

Dont forget In The Moonlight. what a song.

i never understood the love for Down. Its SO bland. Even saw it live & still dont get it. I still wouldve had it on ahead of Thumbing (even more boring), Ghost, or Green Disease.

most band members have said since that Fatal shouldve been on Binaural, and Sad gets played so much that they obviously rate it. Ghost, Gods Dice, Evacuation etc were included for democratic reasons...so that the ablums werent completely songs by Stone & Ed.

Lyrically i LOVE Gods Dice tho...if it was played akin to acoustic Lukin it would be better imo. And Matt shouldve sung Get Right.

Me too  And for some reason 'ragged reminder' also does it for me ;) This journalist is quite the poet... it's inspiring:

    a ragged reminder
    of filthy flannel
    dust off the disc
    and reissue the remains

    Gotta love alliteration
    Like a cloud dropping rain
    I'm discarding all thought
I'll dry up, leaving puddles on the ground
I'm like an opening band for the sun

I think religiously posting on a Pearl Jam message board is one of the main symptoms of someone "taking their Pearl Jam too seriously."

If that's a jab at my post count then you're are mistaken that my posts are about the band. 4/5 of it isn't on The Porch. I'm just bored, that's all. ;)

I hear ya, all in all nobody really cares outside the die hard fans. You have fans like us who post here and you have the rest of the music world waiting for a bootleg recording of Bono or Bob Dylan taking a shit so it can win a Grammy.

No not at all personal to you man, just the message board in general, and all the insane PJ-heads we got here. Someday I'll have a ridiculous post count, i bet. :)

I lost my "ridiculous post count" when I came to this board. My old nick that was tied to TenC was not the one I used on the old board. So, now I look like a noob :D
