Every GA show I ever saw...from both Randells Island, Torin Italy (I'm in Imagine in Cornice a few times....even a slow motion during the end of Alive), Lolla, Roo. As far as seats, I've been lucky enough to have been in the 2nd and 3rd row a few times 8-) .

Devore - Glen Helen Blockbuster Pavillion on 10/28/00. I was in the first row, right in front of Stone. I'm actually in TB2K during the song Do The Evolution. "I can kill cause in God I Trust"...you see me bangin my head to that.

  • Front row Holmdel NJ in '03. I was one of the people who volunteerd to give up tix at MSG in '03 when PJ overbooked it.....Tenclub promised me if I gave up MSG TIX that the next show they will garuntee me PRIME SEATS and they weren't kidding. (Yea, I know you guys might think i was crazy for giving up MSG seats but don't worry I got tix for that show and Mike M came over to where I was sitting and said HI) but back to the front row it was great....I shook hands with ed, he also gave out his micro-phone stand, it went right to the girl standing next to me. You can see me on LATG dvd during DEAD MAN WALKING......CHICKA CHICKA YEA

Small world, I was on the other side of the girl that got the mic stand. I helped her keep her place in line and she rewarded me with a pic from EV. Great show and many thanks to the Ten Club for the opportunity!

i was third row in ny#1 for eds solo show..after arc we all kinda rounded the stage and he shook everyones hand..that was a good time..
for the band i was right at the wall behind the pit for bonnaroo..closest for band. still amazing
  • I've told this before -- several times probably -- but we got front row at Bonnaroo. Lined up at the gate at 10:30 that morning and then ran like hell across that big ass field when they opened the main stage gate around 1. We had a blast sitting around talking all day to all the other PJ nuts who did the same thing.
During the concert Ed went out with the wine twice but he went to the other side both times. We were right in front of Mike and he acknowledged me individually and one of my buddies with a point, but we got no goodies out of it aside from its being three of the best hours of my life...and thats enough
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

Yes, back in the 90's when there was no "rows" or assigned seats. All GA, and if you wanted to be up front, you had to fight to get there, and stay there.

However, since the switch to assigned seats, I have gotten to the 5th row I think. Which is close enough for me. Personally, I think the sound is better back in the 5th row than it is right up front in the first row. I have never understood the draw to needing to be, and whining about never having been, in the front row. Sure, I like to be close to the stage within 10 or so rows, but the very first row is extremely over rated, imo.

there is nothing over rated about being that close to the band and feeling the electricity coming off them...it was almost indescribable!!

Got lucky and won the lottery last year for Camden 2.

Then in 2005 had the greatest PJ weekend of my life as I waited 7 hours for both Borgata shows and got front row in front of Mike both shows and then sat with my friend at the Wachovia show who has an awesome number and got front row in front of Stone. Will never forget that weekend.

I was in the second row for Lolla in 2007, longest hottest day of my life.

The closest I have been non GA is 6th row for the Pearl Jam/Stones show in '05. Greatest. Concert. Ever!!
    32 shows and counting...

I have - on this last tour was my first time. We won the lottery once (and were second row), and the other time a nice guy who won the lottery had an extra ticket, and came back to find someone who looked like had a hardcore fan, to come stand up front with his other ticket and that lucky person was me that got offered the ticket. 2 of the best nights of my life.

took awhile, but at both Randall's Island shows in 96.
    Montreal 98
    Showbox 05

    well worth it.

nothing special at Randall's, except 2 of my favorite shows ever. montreal was fun, b/c my bro and i found these boxes of straws made by a company called Stone, while we were bopping around Montreal before the show. we talked these asian bodega owners into transferring all of their straws into other boxes, so we could bring them and hold them up for, you guessed it, Stone.

Shwbox was right around the time of that Mike McCready imposter. we made up shirts, had them overnighted to Seattle (we flew all the way across the country) that sade "the real Mike McCready", and "one bad mother...." on the back. we threw it to Mike, and he gave me one of his shirts.
  • My sister had first row center in Chicago in 2000. She drank Ed's wine too! I was stupid at the time and didn't even go to the concert with her. I sold my Ten Club tickets to her friends. I was like 13 years old at the time and listened to rap music lol.

First Ever Show was New Orleans 1995
Made it to the front row during Animal, it was so hot and humid. Theese were the days of Moshing and General Admission...by the time I made it to the front...I was beaten and battered. I was thrown over the front railing into the arms of security who ushered me back into General Admission. On the way back out to GA, they had guys with fire hoses spraying fans to cool them off....

I have seen 30 plus PJ shows and this one was by far the best.

  • Boston 04. Ed gave me his Evian, probably cause I was sweating so much. Couple Mike picks, one Jeff pick. I think Mike was hitting on my wife all night (at least she thinks so, which I told her I was cool with).

Won the lottery at Camden 1 this past tour, right in front of Mike and it was raining picks in between every song.

    Greatest night EVER.
  • My sister, friend and I were front row at Lollapalooza '07. What an amazing experience! We saw Ed jump off the stage during Crazy Mary and walk right by us to go to the bathroom maybe?

We also went to one of Ed's NYC solo shows and saw him by his tour bus after the show

Oh I certainly remember you haha, I am doing good, jonesing for a show. You are the "Either Way We Are Fucked" guy right?

I remember being insanely jealous of your tix. I don't know about the other guy, was he the one with the tattoos too? I was just talking to people, the only people I had met before were the couple from NY that I was talking to, and I am pretty sure neither of them are on the boards.

that's the side i was on too (see my avatar) Stone isn't much of a showman like Mike & Ed..the bastard didn't throw 1 pic all night!!

My view was pretty much the same as yours (in your avatar) :)

..hey at least Eddie gave our side lots of attention - and Mike came by once or twice too if I remember right...

  • I was in the front row at Arnhem in whatever-year-that-was (2006?). I queued for hours... I lived in England at the time, but travelled to the NL for it (my native soil :-) ) and stayed at my parents house. They only lived like 10km from the venue, so my mum dropped me off at 11am :-D

    I caught a tambourine

Then at Wembley I was near the front, not quite front row, but almost. Took a friend with me who had only ever been at the back. He said he would never, ever stay at the back ever again. Ever.

Front row, it's a rush. Pure adrenaline, plus your favourite band rocking out in front of you.

    Bring on the next tour!

I've never been front row but since the european shows are GA, I was able, with 10c tickets, to have a good place each of the four times I saw PJ. In Antwerp (my first PJ show), I was 2nd row. In paris, I was 5th or 6th row. In Copenhagen, I was 3rd or 4th row. Only in Werchter was I a little bit further (I didn't want to spend the day trying to get to the front).
