there was talk at the message pit about the DC show being released. if i'm remembering right there's a guy from Fugazi that has his own production company and they supposedly filmed one of the DC shows. haven't heard any update on that lately though.
They were taping at the DC shows, not sure about any of the others. They would definitely have to splice something together from them to make 1 full show though, given the douchebaggery of some "fans" interupting Ed every 5 seconds yelling for PJ songs.
"Fuck the talkin', let's start rocking." - E.V. 9-5-00
I wish they would do Chicago night 1. That was a pretty good show and the douchbaggery, at least from where I was sitting, wasn't that bad although I heard one guy pissed his pants. Ed also played Porch that night.

Some people were freakin drunk as hell. The guys in front of where I was sitting got up at least eight times to get another cup of beer. I don't think the pissy pants dude disturbed Ed's performance though.

8 times? What a douchebaggeries! lol. It's not a baseball game. It's a live concert! It doesn't stop! Next time, they should just bring a kegger and sit the fuck down & enjoy the show, without disturbing other's who have payed a lot of money to see the show & have a good time.
Well, we got the Unplugged DVD coming in the Rerelease... possibly thanks to an official "PLEASE" thread. So, why doesnt one of the Sr. Board Peeps start an Official "Please EV" thread.
I agree that Chicago 1 would be a really choice release.
Yeah, some guy did pee himself, but I don't think it caused any real disruption during the performance. From what I could see, the front of the house was pretty well behaved. I do remember a guy, sitting a row or two behind me, who found it necessary to yell "Lets go Cubbies" way too often, and at inappropriate times. Despite that frog mouth, the seat-pee'er, and a select few others, the crowd was pretty well behaved. Even Ed said that it was one of the best audiences of the tour.
Maybe there were some super secret James Bond style hidden cameras filming the Boston shows...
<fingers crossed>

"They" were also filming LA1. It would be great to make a mix/mash of all the shows.
While I don't doubt that there were cameras, as far as I know, DC was the only place being professionally filmed. There's a difference between the artist filming something just to capture it and a professional film company doing it. DC was definitely professional and EV wore the same outfit both nights, which I am sure was for continuity.
Hopefully the douchebaggery didn't ruin a wonderful opportunity.
i would love an official release of helpless with ej.

Beautiful.
I talked with her about it at a Liam show a couple months after the fact and she had nothing but the best to say about the experience... and that it was an honor for her to sing with him and that she couldn't believe he asked her. She's a real great gal.

Yeah... Hurt, Ship Song and Parting Ways made that show my favorite of the 5 I saw between the two legs. I would love any release though - even if it was something a la Touring Bank 2000 where its a bunch of shows spliced together which would also allow to get around the douchebags in the audience!
As someone else already stated, they should release a DVD like the Touring Band 2000 with several EV shows put together,,,cut out the douchbagery and make one really good concert out of all of them. Also, I wish they would release the bootlegs of both the east and west coast shows. I was not lucky enough to attend an EV solo show and would love the opportunity to own it on DVD and/or CD.

Please, Mr. Vedder!
So, is it safe to say (and sadly for that matter) that EV attracts douchebags who can't control their douchebaggery?? Pretty sad...I was at both NY and the NJ shows and noticed quite a bit of douchebaggery happening around me :x

I was 3rd row for that show and I didn't see any cameras
I was there too! Didn't see no camera's!
The Toronto show's, I did see a Tripod video camera next to the soundboard station on the back!
there were some at the back (which was were I was with the Hollywood-type can't-shut-the-fuck-up douchbags..thank god for the generous soul that got me his spare in 5th row the following night!)
Ed really needs to come play London.. the Dully/Lanegan show at Union Chapel last month, you could have heard a fly drop!
I think I saw the small camera on the tripod near the soundboard at each show I was at. My understanding is that only DC 1 and 2 were "filmed" with multiple cameras for coverage etc. (Ed even wore the same clothes both nights for continuity no?) - unfortunately (and while I wasn't there), I am told it was one of the less stellar nights of the tour (due mainly to crowd issues, etc.) which may be why we haven't seen it go any further. I remember rumours about a cd compilation too floating around the radio around the time of the ease coast leg, but so far nada. 3 top candidates for me would be Chicago 1, Toronto 2, LA 2 or the McCready Berkeley show.
njpac was the best east coast show hands down. spankin new venue with some crowd noise but controlable. some good emotional moments. eddie thought it was very memorable. i think he wishes that show was filmed.
I was anticipating a release of d.c. nite one. Ed went as far to say that the evening was being documented so we could take it home with us. Not sure how long it takes to produce, especially if there are several shows being meshed together.
