I watched Iron Maiden's En Vivo Live in Santiago tonight and it's a pretty outstanding performance. The triple guitar assault and pounding drums and bass are superb and there's some really subtle moments too. I know a lot of people don't like them but they are such a tight band and are amazing at what they do and have done for over 30 years. South American audiences must be such a joy to play for for any musician, those crowds are so insane.

    They are fantastic!
Yeah, I think a lot of people see them as a bit of a joke or a gimmick but lyrically and musically they are incredible and you have to admire the longevity. They put on a great show, albeit the same each night but they are writing material as strong as they ever have and sounding really fresh under Bruce's second spell in the band. I must admit Janik Gers stage moves are pretty cringeworthy but that's just pettiness... ;) The Final Frontier tour stretched to over 100 dates which is mind blowing considering their ages and what other bands are doing (PJ *cough*). Check out the absolutely awesome solos in this vid....

  • Bought my wife the Florence + The Machine MTV Unplugged DVD. Watched it last night. Her voice is incredible so it's perfect for an "unplugged" setting. And I got a new copy of Okonokos since my old copy was all scratched :P

I got the deluxe 3 disc Blu Ray of PJ20. Considering picking up The Raconteurs: Live at Montreux Blu-Ray. Does anybody have this one already and can give some feedback?
The last PJ show I went to was the best PJ show ever, that is until they come around again of course

I can let you know in a few days. Just ordered it from amazon with some gift cards. Great price too.

Either I already have too many or there just hasn't been anything great come out, but I couldn't really find much I was interested in.

Had DBT's A Secret To A Happy Ending in the cart as well, but that put me over my limit and I've already seen it. It's a spectacular option for those that haven't, even if you're only mildly interested in them.

Please do post your feedback in this thread once you've seen it Dewie, I read the comments on Amazon but those could be so over zealous fan boys but they said that the sound/ picture was top notch

NIN - Beside You In Time is probably the best thing ever. It's visually stunning and the 5.1 dts is completely immersive.

Not sure if it's on DVD but Radiohead - From the Basement I think was an itunes release and as simple as it is, it's incredible.

Thought this was pretty great. There are a few moments where the mixing could be better, when Jack is playing acoustic, but overall it's pretty awesome. Camera footage does lean a teensy bit to Jack, but not overwhelming and the cuts aren't real jumpy like they are in alot of newer concert vids. Pretty bare bones, but well worth the $15 if you ask me.

I may be wrong, but I think they are referring to the Martin Scorsese doc about Bob Dylan.

Most of mine have already been mentioned.

    All the PJ DVDs
    White stripes- under blackpoll lights
nirvana- live tonight ( though I lent this to someone and it was never returned)
    Mtv unplugged
    7 worlds collide
    Running down a dream
    The kids are alright
The mad season DVDs with all the different performances that came with the re issue of Above.
    Back and fourth- foo fighters
    Burden brothers- RYFOLAMF

A friend let me borrow "fearless freaks" by flaming lips. I thought it was very interesting.
