I wonder if any of the top choices will end up touring with pj this year . . . time will tell. I like both MMJ and KOL, but it’s difficult to see either of them playing with pj this year. Current top choices:

    12 – MMJ
    11 - Kings of Leon
    06 – Mudhoney
    06 – PJ (alone)
    05 – The Black Keys
    05 - Socail Distortion
    04 - Sonic Youth
    04 – The Raconteurs
    03 – Local H
    03 – Chris Cornell
    03 – The Hold Steady

They already have toured/experienced opening for Pearl Jam! We need to see fresh new blood or blood that hasn't yet toured with Pearl Jam!

The Kings are now too popular to be an opener.

    Wolf Parade, anyone?

    or Bowie

That's not for real, right? You're just kidding right?
because otherwise, I'm gonna have to call you names. With all seriousness though, I think my list goes something like this:
    Relentless7
    State Radio
    The Raconteurs
    The Black Keys

Also, like others said, MMJ and KOL are way too big for their breeches now. So, that means they won't be opening for anybody. Unless it's Rolling Stones or U2 or something.

You and the original poster did not get my point at all. Maybe because you're too young and you don't understand how impossible for someone like Bowie to open for a young'n like Pearl Jam. That's absolutely ridiculous.

Not too young, and neither is QTT. ;)

I agree that Bowie would never open. But neither will half of the bands mentioned.

They'd have to promise they will not be making any attempts to join in for Hunger Strike, RITFW or Fortunate Son.

I like the way you think. Are you saying S-K are playing together again? I only wish. As you know . . . Mudhoney is my No. 1.

hey mrs. vedder . . . i like your picture (and hoodie). you are lookin gooood! i regret not buying one of those hoodies.

i would be trilled with either of your top choices, but for some reason i think a new group that has not played with pj might be more likely. i hope not . . . i would really like to see mudhoney play a few shows.
