Mini cooper, the car up above.

Just be sure to get the S. There is a huge difference in power between the turbo charged S and the regular Cooper.

    A blast to drive too.

Hell yea man. Ill be getting the previous generation next (supercharged) I didnt exactly get to drive one from the dealer since Im only 20, but the ride I got in it was great. They handle AMAZING. 6 spd?

Yeah, 6 speed manual. Handles like a go-cart on fucking steriods. People don't realize how quick they are.

Yeah, I drove one with the base engine and an automatic - that thing was more gutless than my wife's Toyota Corolla!

that's why you need the turbo S. The base model is seriously underpowered. The S and the base are not even close to being the same car.

The S hits 60 in less than 6 seconds and I can be at 75 in 3rd gear (out of 6). I don't think a Corolla can do that.

But I did have a base Cooper as a loaner once and it was a dog.

Hmmm...didn't realize they had switched from a supercharger to a turbo, wonder what year that was - I guess it should be the Cooper T now...Cool car none-the-less, our neighbor just picked one up as well!
  • A 1997 Toyota Corolla. It's got 110 K miles on it now and is the most dependable car I've had. I will drive it until the wheels fall off or it rusts itself away. 8-)

2003 Ford Focus. It may not be a chick magnet, but it sure is fuel efficient!

2007 is when they redesigned the Cooper and replaced the S model with a turbo. I personally prefer the older supercharged model, but both of them handle amazing, and are quick. Like Flagg said, both cares are totally different. Its like the standard Mitsu Lancer, and then the Evolution.

    2000 Toyota Echo sedan, grey.
It's fairly low on power (108 HP, I think), but handles well and the fuel efficiency is fantastic. One tank usually lasts me about 2 weeks. I don't totally lament the lower power, it just took some getting used to after driving Pontiac 6000's for 4 years.
Yes, they're kind of odd-looking. Mine looks a lot like this one, just a couple of minor differences.

that's amazing, 1994?. a guy at work made fun of fords and called them Fix or Repair Daily.
is yours in the shop all the time? we have several, old fords (you don't want to know how many vehicles my husband and I have -- all Fords...and they do break down but husband fixes them for free.)

We have three mustangs :D and more! we could do a ford commercial....we have a 97 mustang, not fully loaded....and two classic sixties, (not driveable) mustangs. The 97 one drives like it did when it was new.

I gave my mother my 1990 Cavalier in 2004 and it still runs. I bet the newer ones weren't that good. The paint came off and in 1996 when I went for estimates, the guys in the shop told me it was not worth it due to the age. I guess they did not realize that 13 years later, it would still be running.

1998 Camry XL. 120K+ miles on her, the exterior looks like shit*, the timeclock is pushed into the socket but she's still running fine! My first and only vehicle thus far.

*I nearly died last year on the highway because I fell asleep on the wheel coming back from Boston after the Mansfield II show. Ran into the guard rail badly. Luckily there was no other vehicles on the road.

    Damn right. :)

And iluvcats: Yeah, it's in and out of the shop a lot but that's more because it's 15 years old than anything else. It's been a good car, helped move a lot of friends over the years. We do joke and call it the P.O.Escort though... But that's mostly because the exterior is falling apart around an engine that still starts up without any problems in cold Wisconsin winters. And yes, I probably will miss it when it's gone.

I had to drop someone off at his hotel and it took us til 3AM to find our way around Foxborough. He offer me to rest at his room but I didn't- had to work that after noon.

By the time I got home, it was nearly 6:30-7AM .
