    2007 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon

One of these days I am going to get a Wrangler, or buy back my old 1979 Jeep CJ5 and restore it. The kid that bought it after me wrecked and the last I heard it was still sitting in a barn.

For the last 5 years I have driven a 2004 Dodge Ram four door extended cab 4X4. Not very green, I know, and I really want to be green, but we have four dogs, two kayaks, many bicycles, and we camp occassionally. I need lots of space for my stuff. Plus we own 90 acres so we need a vehicle to haul chain saws and pull trailers and stuff.

It's great fun..... but it's not very green. :(

    1997 Nissan Sentra

Yeah, it's kinda old and very much not fancy in any way but I love that car. I'm actually thinking about getting a new car, but I'm not sure if I could trade my Sentra in or not. I kinda want to keep it around. It's incredibly reliable, it's amazing gas milage (mid 30s) and hasn't cost me a dime in the 9 years or so that I've had it (other than gas and oil).

I would like something newer, fancier, and maybe sportier, but the idea of a car payment every month makes me think "Hmmm...maybe the ol' Nissan will do for a little while longer...".

Just be sure to get the S. There is a huge difference in power between the turbo charged S and the regular Cooper.

    A blast to drive too.

An absolute blast to drive, all kinds of cargo room, and I can't wait until the engine is broken in and starts returning MPG figures in the 40s

Yeah, 6 speed manual. Handles like a go-cart on fucking steriods. People don't realize how quick they are.

Yeah, I drove one with the base engine and an automatic - that thing was more gutless than my wife's Toyota Corolla!

A 1994 Ford Escort Station Wagon.
    It's teal.
    :(
It's also cracked, rusty, and covered in dents from being crashed into just about everything imaginable at some point. 2/5 seat belts still work. The speedometer hasn't worked for at least six years.

that's why you need the turbo S. The base model is seriously underpowered. The S and the base are not even close to being the same car.

The S hits 60 in less than 6 seconds and I can be at 75 in 3rd gear (out of 6). I don't think a Corolla can do that.

But I did have a base Cooper as a loaner once and it was a dog.

Hmmm...didn't realize they had switched from a supercharger to a turbo, wonder what year that was - I guess it should be the Cooper T now...Cool car none-the-less, our neighbor just picked one up as well!
  • A 1997 Toyota Corolla. It's got 110 K miles on it now and is the most dependable car I've had. I will drive it until the wheels fall off or it rusts itself away. 8-)
