GAHHH! Each one of these threads gets my heart aflutter! I just hope I know in time to save enough money for tickets! 3 nights = approx. $450 for my husband and myself. That's a lot of money for 2 unemployed people! LOL.
It will happen, though. I will make it so.
GAAAHHHHH!
I sure hope this happens, but my question is why did Ed tell us to say goodbye to the Spectrum for him at Camden 08 Night 1?
6-19-08 Camden I 8-17-08 EV DC II 10-27-09 Philly Night I row 5 10-28-09 Philly Night II row 6 Dead center,10-30-09 Philly Night III section 202, 10-31-09 Philly Night IV section 310, 10-21-13 Philly I PIT, 10-22-13 Philly II PIT
First song I heard live Hard to Imagine.
Thank you Pearl Jam for playing Man of the Hour Philly 13 Night 1, I lost my Uncle that morning and it helped me, Cincy 10-01-14 PIT

Probably because at the time he didn't know when the Spectrum would be torn down. When it was first announced last year in January that it might be torn down and then in the spring of last year that it would be torn down after the Phantoms (minor league hockey team that plays there in 2008-09), everyone assumed it would be town down late spring /early summer.
It was later announced that summer in July after PJ's show in Camden, that the venue would not be torn down until the end of 2009 and that concerts and events would still take place there until the end of September 2009.
So at the time when Ed said that in June 2008, he would have had no idea that the arena would be around long enough to possibly play there after a new album comes out.
Like anyone expected San Fran to get 3 shows at the start of the '06 tour??
I'm not sure of the differences of venue sizes, but if San Fran can do it, why not Philly??
That's right. And we better have that same deal again this year too or otherwise East Coasters should be aware of the harsh reality that they will have some serious competition from us for those Spectrum tickets
I have no patience for bad music and stupid people...
The whole world will be different soon the whole world will be RELIEVED
Can you Philly area folks imagine the madness if they play 3 nights at the Spectrum?? Its gonna be an insanity like no other, blowing away 2 nights in shitty Camden by a mile...I'm psyched just for the possibilities...whoa
I met my wife here...you can too! Don't lose hope!

Would it be any harder than the 2005 Wachovia show which was the only US date other than the Borgata and the HOB show in Chicago?
The fallout from the ticket debacle led to the whole promise of the Big, Bold, Beautiful and Free thing we're still waiting on.

Thats not true, you could have seen them with the Stones in Pittsburgh.

Yeah seeing them OPEN for the Stones (45 minutes tops) or seeing a full show at the Wachovia Center... yeah seems like an even trade off to me.

Social awareness does not equal political activism!
5/23/2011- An utter embarrassment... ticketing failures too many to list.

Why does Ed lie abuot having the curfew extended at every show?
