Just found out my cat may have cancer...

Got the blood test results...
A lot of white blood cells, possibly inflammation due to an infection but they won't rule out cancer yet.
Some positive news if you can call it positive, a bit of relief.
I will take him for a chest x-ray to see what it is.
Thanks again for the kind words, it's been a shit week but listening to the Ten re-issue tracks before has given me a boost lolAdelaide 17/11/2009, Melbourne 20/11/2009, Sydney 22/11/2009, Melbourne (Big Day Out Festival) 24/01/20140 -

Certainly is. Good luck with the X-ray.0 -
I'm so sorry about your kitty - but happy about the relatively good news...
Lost my Meow-Meow kitty six months ago and still miss the crap out of her...Anyway, yeah, finding out what's wrong with them can take a bit of time, and in the meantime they look so sick...It's a tough thing to watch your cat fade away...
Hopefully you'll just need to keep your kitty on antibiotics for awhile and he/she bounces back for another sniff at the catnip! I wish you and your kitty all the best...be philanthropic0 -
I left him at the vet today for a few hours, he had an x-ray which cleared him of anything in the heart, lungs, kidneys, his liver can be better but nothing too serious.
The vet told me it is pancreatitis, which vets still don't know much about in cats.
He said a new test just came out of the USA and he managed to use it, so good timing I guess.
I need to continue with anti-biotics, special cat food and lots of water.
He's put on a tiny bit of weight.
I am taking him for a check up in 1 week.
Trust me, if you feel your vet is not doing enough, go to another one.
The first asshole I saw was so rude and didn't investigate enough, never going there again.
The one I just saw is absolutely fantastic, I highly recommend him, and he was compassionate.Adelaide 17/11/2009, Melbourne 20/11/2009, Sydney 22/11/2009, Melbourne (Big Day Out Festival) 24/01/20140 -

That's great newsHopefully, he'll be in tip-top shape in no time. I'm glad you found a much better vet.

Yeah, he's slowly coming back.
Gave him some more antibiotics and some dinner.
He is eating slowly and tiny bits but better than nothing and better than a few weeks ago.
Thanks for your kind words once againAdelaide 17/11/2009, Melbourne 20/11/2009, Sydney 22/11/2009, Melbourne (Big Day Out Festival) 24/01/20140 -
This is wonderful news!
I'm sooooooo glad he's put on weight and he's eating. You certainly did the right thing in getting a second opinion .
GIve him lots of love and he should be back on his paws in no timeBeen to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...
