you know sometimes when you get that feeling... it can't really be understood by others.
nobody fuckin gets it, except us jammers. its in our blood... everything is summed up by the bible of PJ.
PJ is sometimes like oxygen, a therapist, a bridge, a fuel source, that secret place, the imaginary friend, the soulmate never found, the anger release, like evolution unfolding in our presence... push me pull me. OMG, it is fucking great. when i come to a PJ show and mingling at random (i have met sooo many) it is like entering heaven, or surfing the high tide on a full moon... we're all related. I love all you insane PJ fans. you know who you are. we will roam the earth forever! forever PJ. Forever Us.

I was feeling pretty down this morning, but then I went for a drive with the Hartford 2006 bootleg and it completely changed my day.

it just sucks that no one i know "gets it." it's actually more frustrating than anything! my friends are like "yeah she's obsessed with Pearl Jam" Yeah I am but i try to tell them they are more than just a band but i've realized no matter how much you try to explain it some people will never get it and i'm soooooooooooooo glad i do!!! :D
  • I just find that you have some train of thought and can't shut up even though your friends are looking at you and you know that theyre bored out of their minds
I don't mean to offend anyone, a lot of what I say should be taken with a grain of salt... that said for most of you I'm a stranger on a computer on the other side of the world, don't give me that sort of power!

Hell yeah, well said. I've actually quit trying to convert people to pj's magic. Some just don't get it as you said. But then again I don't get the magic of some other bands either.

  • I know what you mean...I listen to PJ everyday at work on my cd player and my cubicle is decorated with PJ pictures and stuff. My work buddy thinks I'm a little bit crazy but our mailman is total PJ freak and we talk about them all the time when he delivers the mail!

After a Pearl Jam show I usually end up at some bar talking with some other fan.
My girlfriend pointed out how we finish each other's sentences.
She said we're all the same.
    Very addicting to me.

I brought my girlfriend (who became my fiance the day of the 2nd show) to both MSG shows last year. They were her first PJ shows. At the pre-game hang outs at the pubs and during the post-games as well, she was humored by how us 'freaks' interact. She understood I was just doing my thing and was content just watching me talk shop for a couple of hours. She thought it was funny when I found new fans to talk to because I got all jittery and OCD'd. It's like...you find someone who can keep up and take advantage of it. I have a couple of good friends who are big PJ fans, but only during tour time can I find people who can really talk in depth and have that next level of passion for the music and can spend hours just trading stories.
