It is really. My ex all but abandoned it (she was dating some dude that wanted to be in the CIA and was afraid of the kind of info they can gather from it. Me, I don't have much to hide, and their marketing and whatnot only works if you let it. Plus, I got to listen to the new Tragically Hip single on there today, so that's pretty cool.

if you are stupid enough to that much personal shit on the internet you deserve what you get

if you use it to keep in touch and get back in touch with people and post some silly pictures then there's no problem

One of my friends is after me to get on facebook. He tells me all the advantages of it and that me and another of our friends are the only 2 people he knows that he can't keep up with through facebook. I'll probably do it at some point but right now I'm in the middle of a job search and other stuff in my home life. Somehow it just strikes me as one more thing to keep up with. Maybe that's weird of me but at some point I have to draw the line on how much time I want to spend on the internet.

Oh and since moving to England, I thought Ireland was a nanny state but HERE  well I would get into it but i'd rather not discuss it online  there are certain things that I will now only discuss face to face and far away from any salt or pepper shakers

I have a Facebook account, and I just have basic info on it.

If the government wants to know what bands I like or the fact that I like to run and go camping, then I'm not too worried.

When I got my new job, I made sure that I went back and took anything "incriminating" off,and made them private.

I've pretty much all but abandoned myspace. I just don't like it!
  • So you're saying that I should take my social security number and my manifesto on overthrowing the US Government off of my Facebook?
