People who are always smiling

i think i'm one of the smiley people. the other day i went into the coffee shop by my house to get some beans, and the lady at the counter said 'you are so cheery'. i was like huh? lol and she went on saying that i'm always smiling. i felt like saying 'well i'm frowning on the inside bitch', but i actually was in a good mood the guy who does deliveries at work says the same thing, he says he looks forward to dropping stuff off with me because my smile is contagious

it's not anything i purposely do, and i'm a pretty moody person. maybe it's a subconscious thing to keep myself level and on an up beat. who knows!

this always happens to me too! the running joke in my family is that i was a priest in a past life because everyone insists on confessing everything to me. even if i have no idea who they are lol

I too have always gotten a lot of strangers striking up conversations with me for some reason. I know I don't look that friendly. Last year at Bonnaroo the other two dudes I went with were amazed at how many people picked me out to talk to and basically no one said anything to them. I didn't mind it at 'Roo, but I had just as soon be left along in my day-to-day life

i am almost always smiley to people in stores, to delivery guys at work too, etc...i think it's just an auto-pilot thing for me, be polite and cheerful to those who help you out.


and seriously, EVERYone tell s me their shit, whether i want to know or not! :P


however, i think truly smiley people almost never look pissed or down, etc. when i a reaslly cranky and tire...it shows. big-time. i know it, everyone knows it. no matter how nice i may be, my face gives away how i feel inside, and that ain't pretty then! i know this clearly now, after a particularly grueling week last october, working over 100 hours in 7 days. :shock: yea, i was not smiley!

yeah i guess i'm a smiley, i usually am smiling. but i also have the worst poker face in the world. if i'm really upset about something, there is no hiding it! and if someone is irritating me i have the worst way of keeping it to myself lol

exactly.


my closest colleague is a smiley person, truly genuine too. and even if she is in a shit mood, she somehow manages to remain smiley, always looks content and calm....it is a very rare thing to see her at all down-trodden. it truly is a gift in a sense.
