just seeing if anybody else is going to be watching tonight... performances from Paul McCartney with Dave Grohl on drums, U2, and RADIOHEAD (sorry, just never thought i'd see them perform at the grammys)

anyways, it should actually be a pretty good show which is surprising...

  • well looks like i'm talking to myself here but anyways... U2 begins the show with a performance of the new single Get On Your Boots... Ireland represent!!!!!!!!

still dunno about that song, it's pretty good (edge does kick ass on that song though), and i bet will get better with time like most U2 classics... a good performance and a good way to start off the show

thanks Long Rd... that's awesome that they won for House of Cards, i only wish they had of released more singles from In Rainbows... pretty much every song could have been a single... and the live version of Videotape is probably what will be played at my funeral (hopefully in a very long time)....
And winning for the Boxed Package makes me happy 2 since i actually spent the money for the collector addition with Vinyl... it was a great package...

I dunno if you are a fan of Coldplay or Jay-Z (i'm actually not really a fan of either) but they are performing Lost right now and it was actually pretty damn good... then coldplay goes into another song that the name escapes my mind right now... not nearly as good :)

Those Coldplay outfits were about the the most horrible thing at the Grammy's. Wait.............what's this? NO!!! It was just edged out by Miley Cyrus' voice. I am blown away how bad that was. Taylor Swift has a good voice, but holy fuck.

YAY!!!!!! Bobby Plant and Allison Krauss. Some damn fine albums gettin some love from the Grammy's this year.

Speaking of country babes, I didn't ever realized LeAnn Rhymes is actually 2 months younger than me.

She's been in the industry for over a decade. As a kid, I thought she was a few years older than I was.

only thing good is robert plant winning grammy.. deserved. but apart from that c'mon.. Coldplay? The most average band out there and they have beat The Raconteurs etc. etc.... I would even have choosen KOL over Coldplay.

I will D/L radiohead's perfornace and McCartney but apart from that what a waste of a night's viewing.

I'm basically waiting for those two performances, but I'll glance over at the TV while perusing the internet. occasionally something bizarre will happen. for example, Morgan Freeman just came out to introduce someone, and he spoke very highly of that person, but the last name I expected to hear was "Kenny Chesney".

long live Robert Plant. i like the way he accepted both of those awards. he didn't take it too seriously, but was gracious. isn't he doing another album with AK? I'm hoping so.

it was hard to tell with all those marching band members and with the way it was filmed, but yeah, I only saw thom and jonny. the others guys weren't really needed, or would have gotten in the way, I think.

that was a badass performance. it just blew everyone else away who is just doing the same old, same old. even though the same old is nice sometimes.

  • this is kind of related, has anyone else heard jaydiohead? it's a jay-z / radiohead mashup, and definitely the best mashup i've heard. i'd highly recommend it to anyone who likes either artist. if anyones interested i can try to dig up the link to it, it was a free download
