I haven't received yet an email on this shipping info of DHL from amesbros or 10club. Anybody else from Canada?

You aren't alone D. I ordered the $200 book from 10C and haven't received the email.

  • I just found this out... this service makes no sense to me. DHL with the USPS as the middle man? Seems absolutely pointless. Fedex now provides a home delivery service tenclub.

It's cheaper, UPS and FedEx have a similar service too that combines with the post office, I dont like it to much because you can only track the shipment up until the time it reaches the post office after that is your regular wait for the mailman to arrive....besides Priority Mail by the USPS is faster 2-3 days, anywhere in the US. I dont know, they must have a reason why they used DHL, Ive never seen them use this service before.

Someone posted further up about getting an email from Ames yesterday letting him know the $200 version was not shipping for another 2-3 weeks, so I'm assuming its the same for the 10C, I got an shipping notification for the $50 version only not for both books...

A UPS truck pulled up to my driveway this afternoon and I got really excited, thinking it could be my $200 book. But then it was some stupid gifts I had ordered for the kids and forgot about.

    Bah, Humbug!

I got the email yesterday. I try not to complain about how Ten Club does stuff. And I'm sure they were just trying their hardest to get people their books before Christmas. However, thanks to the timing of this, mine will probably be delivered (attempted delivery) while I'm gone right over the holiday. Then they'll leave notes all over my door, showing that I'm not home, and after a few tries it will probably get returned, or with any luck (better option) I'll have to drive to the local DHL delivery warehouse to pick it up in person when I get back on the 27th. Damn.

No you wont have to drive to DHL because DHL only transports the package to the local post office and then your regular mailman delivers it at your door... it's called DHL@home Deferred :)

Oh great. I mean, that's kind of cool it's not like UPS who hold it after 3 attempts, but it also sucks. Now I'll have $250 worth of books sitting on my porch in the snow while I'm gone till the 26th. Awesome. Better bribe those family members to stop by and get my mail on Christmas eve.

Edit, I guess that's just $50 worth of a book, if it's not the L.E. versions.
