  • thank you dearly melodious, but I fear this is my last posting. My mama is gone now, at least she is not in pain anymore.

I cannot stress it enough for all of you to regularly be checked for melanoma. You don't have to be in the sun much to get it. stage one is the easiest cancer to treat of all cancer's. stage four is the most difficult of all cancers with only a 10% survival rate.

I wish you all the best. In my language, instead of saying goodbye(cos you only do this if it is forever), we say sastipen. It means good health. I think it is fitting here, so sastipen everyone :)

EDIT: she passed about 6.30 this morning. The cancer spread so aggressively the past 3 days, with a new tumor showing up, along with bleeding, in the brain, and fluid and the cancer both penetrating the heart. The doctor's have all said what shock they are in because they have never seen anything like this happen. Leave it to my mama to be different.

It was comforting to see all the nurses and doctors coming in with disbelief, fighting crying, cos she is a patient that truely touched their hearts within the short month she was there. she was everyone's favourite up there, they all kept telling me that the entire time she was in the hospital. she was a very special lady in that way, and not just in the hospital..everywhere she went.

When I said she was gone before, I meant she was considered brain dead. In case there is any confusion.
