Is Ed unhealthy?

He smokes, drinks, and doesnt eat meat. Isn't that a cocktail for bad health?

    Smoking isnt the healthiest thing you can do, but I reckon he would eat really healthy(apart from the no meat).

    I've heard they have chefs touring with them. I am positive Ed is eating healthy and surfing probably keeps him in very good shape.

    well the smoking for sure has been horrible. his voice has gone to shit in the last 16 years.

    I more thinking of the european diet, wine being part of a healthy diet, good for the heart etc.


    And where as I probably wouldn't really say they're not harmful in excess I als believe you can lead a perfectly healthy lifestyle that includes cigarettes and alcohol.

    In a way, Ed is a good example, good physical health for his age.

    What does not eating meat have to do with being unhealthy? Not eating meat can be extremely healthy!!!

    alcohol is moderation yes, but there is no such thing as a healthy lifestyle that includes smoking.

    and i have been to the shows...at least one bottle of wine during the 2.5 hours you are on stage is not moderation.

    i am not preaching to ed, or you. i would probably consider myself a heavy drinker and ex-smoker. i am just stating the obvious. smoking is bad no matter what else you do.

    you can eat some unhealthy food, or have a few too many drinks. then the next day exercise for a bit to "work" it off. but you can't smoke a pack of cigarettes and then counter-balance that.

    his voice is incredible! he has been singing and wailing his voice for over 17 years and he still has it for songs like blood,DTE,STBC, watever. if he didnt smoke i dont think it would make too big of a difference, its mainly his age that is making him lose his voice, and i think his voice still sounds great.

    anyway how can ed be unhealthy? he has mad hair and he definately has got some muscle.

    Well, no matter how healthy he tries to be, the smoking will not help. He could be doing everything else right but the smoking will fuck him up regardless. For such a smart guy, you think he'd realize that. And besides that he does look way older than he should, but i'm not sure if thats just because he hates shaving and haircuts.
