well let's stop missing each other!..i miss you, your one of my favorite pj people baby
No mum and dad aren't PJ fans. They're 66 and 67 and def not into that kind of music.
HOWEVER, in 1995 when I was 15 I loved PJ and I live a long way away from the closest venue in Brisbane and didnt realise they were touring (Vitalogy tour). I found out the day after tickets went on sale and the concerts were already sold out. I was soooo disappointed. Devastated. A few weeks later mum picks me up from school and hands me this envelope. It had two tickets to Pearl Jam in it. Without me knowing, mum and dad had placed an advertisement in the Brisbane newspaper saying "two tickets wanted" and bought me and my sister AWESOME tickets right near the stage Stone's side for 3 x the face value. I couldn't fucking believe it. And since they didn't want me going alone at just under 16 years of age, they paid for my 20 year old sister and I to have a 4 day holiday, accommodation, PJ tickets, airfares, food, spending money....the lot. Why? Purely because they saw how much I loved Pearl Jam.
I have now seen 5 Pearl Jam tours -- 95, 98, 03, 06, 09. And they all started with those two tickets.

Well this made my Friday, but didn't get to post then, so I'll post now!
My awesome math teacher is very preggo & Friday was her last day, as she'll be out for the rest of the year on pregnancy leave. So my friend & I made her an epic cake that said 'Congrats On Multiplying' She loved it & brought some fellow math teachers in to chuckle at it!

That's FANTASTIC! Made me laugh. My friend is going back to school to be a math teacher, and we both love math/number puns! Good job!

Better than a steak cheese pieDate: 2 November 2009 OK, so I've never used a pie to change the channels on my TV or turn up the volume on my gramophone, however the simplicity of operation that this remote offers virtually guarantees having one hand free when operating your home entertainment. At times that spare hand is pretty useful - I use mine to eat pies.
After wrestling the remote from the box, plugging it in and reading the instructions I was disappointed to learn that the programming process might take "45 minutes or more". Fresh pie in hand I settled down to the task at hand.
Although I needn't have worried. Programming the remote was a breeze. I selected the tv, stereo, freeview box and my aging mediagate media centre from the populated lists. The software programmed the remote and then I stored my settings for the future in case I ever accidentally destroy my new remote with molten pie gravey. All in all the process took about 40 minutes - so fair play Logitech for giving me fair warning.
The Harmony remote is the one of the best things I have discovered to date - second only to beer and ladies. Once set up you can interact with your home entertainment by activity.
When I want to watch TV I press the watch TV activity button. The TV turns on, flicks to AV, the freeview box turns on, the stereo turns on and switches to av.
When I want to watch my digital video I press the watch my video activity button and my media centre powers up the freeview box turns off the TV flicks to the correct input and the stereo wakes up.
All this with one hand and one remote!
I could go on. Thank you Logitech for inventing a remote that's better than steak and cheese pies and leaves me with a hand free when watching the telly.
