    I think that. But then again I get a lot of things wrong. I can't wait for tonight's show..it's 2 hours?
    Three if you include that recap episode that they're also doing.

    Awesome. What a show! And I am so glad to see you know who. But it was kind of weird with his two Losties. Seemed to be just thrown in there.

    So Locke's still dead, Jacob's dead, and the island blew up. Great cliffhangers to discuss for 9 months.

    I guess there were two of them on the Island, and whoever was trapped in that cabin is who we have seen and thought was jacob. I can't wait to see where they go with it next year

    it's still the best suspense show going... but i was kind of disappointed.
    there's no way seeing jacob could have lived up to the hype we've created for 5 years. (insert goulet picture here). :D
    it looked like bernard aged 50 years, not 3...haha.

    i thought it was pretty cheesy that jack said he was doing the bomb thing because of kate, too.
    still great, though....curious what happens next. i think i just need to watch it again.

    I totally agree. I also thought it was a little cheesy that Juliet changed her mind because of Kate.

    I thought it would have been better for her to change her mind because if the island didn't exist, she never would have left her sister, but hey I'm not going to argue too much with the writers. ;)

    One thing lost does better than most shows is they are not afraid to kill someone off to move the story

    right. there were definitely a few minutes there when lost was turning into a sappy love drama.

    Don't forget who was that guy talking to Jacob in the opening and how did he look like Locke? Also, if he had the ability to look like Locke, then was he also appearing as Christian?

    I thought the show really went downhill this year, but after that episode all is forgiven! That is the freakin' Lost that I love. I loved Jacob being with all the passengers during vital parts of their life. I was totally shocked by Locke in the box.

    Great, great episode. Maybe the best ever.

    This is mentioned so much here. I can think of a lot of shows that kill people off.

    That would make a lot of sense. I mean the smoke monster did tell Ben to listen to John and John told Ben to kill Jacob. I'm not sure why Jacob just didn't tell Ben that that wasn't really John.

    amazing... simply amazing.

    btw, the statue w/ the crocodile head = Sobek

    180px-Sobek.svg.png
    Sobek (also known as Sebek, Sebek-Ra, Sobeq, Suchos, Sobki, and Soknopais) was the ancient god of crocodiles. He is first mentioned in the Pyramid Texts and his worship continued until the Roman period. Some sects believed that Sobek was the creator of the world who arose from the "Dark Water" and created the order in the universe. Sobek was a god of the Nile who brought fertility to the land. As the "Lord of the Waters" he was thought to have risen from the primeval waters of Nun to create the world and made the Nile from his sweat. One creation myth stated that Sobek laid eggs on the bank of the waters of Nun thus creating the world. However, as well as being a force for creation, he was seen as an unpredictable deity who sometimes allied himself with the forces of Chaos.

    //

    In some areas, a tame crocodile was worshiped as the earthly embodiment of Sobek himself, while in other places crocodiles were reviled, hunted and killed. It seems likely that Sobek began as a dark god who had to be appeased, but that his protective qualities and his strength were valued when they were used in defence of the Pharaoh and the people. He could protect the justified dead in the netherworld, restoring their sight and reviving their senses. Because of his ferocity, he was considered to be the patron of the army.

    //

    He was depicted as a crocodile, a mummified crocodile or a man with the head of a crocodile. He often wore a plumed headdress with a horned sun disk or the atef crown (associating him with Amon-Ra) and carried the Was sceptre (representing power) and the Ankh (representing the breath of life). Mummified crocodiles representing the god have been found in many ancient tombs. The Egyptians mummified both infant and mature crocodiles and even interred crocodile eggs and foetuses with the deceased in order to enlist the protection of Sobek in the afterlife.

    ok, i've had time to digest and even rewatched a few scenes last night. the brilliance of the show has once again been restored.

    so is that other guy like jacob's other half? he's the one that has been living in the cabin while jacob has been living in the foot? also, it seems the 'evil' jacob is able to take on the human form of dead people...so he was christian shepard (again explains the cabin) and he was alex (telling ben to follow locke...since he was actually locke, too).

    i really hope jacob isn't dead. i like how he appeared to them all at pivotal points.

    lots of questions about ilana, though, now. what was her favor to jacob? was it bringing sayid back? how do her and jacob know each other?

    it was good stuff. lots to think about. i don't want to wait until 2010.
