The web design team finally fixed the bug that was preventing me (and a number of others) from changing my avatar.

Thanks!

To be honest - I had resisted the new forum for a few weeks, but now that I am giving it a shot, it is actually pretty cool. Miss the "post seniority" designations somewhat ("Given to Fly", "Animal", "Ghost"), but life will go on.
  • Also, Hallelujah is a great song by a great songwriter interpreted greatly by a great singer (and interpreted mediocrely by a great singer)!

  • Bono's version of that song gives me the creeps. Also, I suppose you could also include Rufus Wainwright's version, though it's not nearly as bad as Bono's.

  • nice having the post count and location back under our names... miss the song names that went along with post counts but we definitely dont need anymore clutter... im totally getting more used to everything... i think the last step will probably be getting rid of the dark borders to make it look alot more like the old pit... other than that theres not too many problems i can think of

keep up the work tech crew! its almost there!

oh and the option to completely delete posts instead of just editing... just noticed that... nice!

  • I do like that we have avatars now...but my post count is still fucked up. Not really a worry, but I had well over 1000 at the old Pit.

I wonder if they'll reinstate the 'roll over' function on the index so you can preview read the beginning of a thread - I miss that, its really useful. If they don't, people will need to be more descriptive with their thread titles, lest I waste even more time on the forum ;)
