..if we could just build a hippie commune and get all band members to live there we might be content seeing them all the time. But until then we will just build our own and invite them over and they might play at our personal bon-fire hippie commune party sometime. Yee-ha! Go rednecks!

P.S.-No sarcasm here-I am totally serious, chickens, cows and all.

How about a new record? A preelection single.

This vote 4 Change movie is recycled.

    Get on it.

    Yawn

You wouldn't be so bored if you got out of the house now and then.

  • dam! more flames than a parade in San Fran!

I feel where cahoots is coming from....no new album for almost three years!!

and as much fun as i had this summer with the mini tour and Ed solo shows,it's all over now and seems like years ago!! so like the junkie i am..i got the shakes!! i needs me a fix!

    more,more,more,more,more,more,more,more,more,more,more........more PJ!!
  • Jeez... will people ever be happy?!

There seems to be a lot of posts of late about how people are bored with the band and/or have gone off them... what's the fucking deal!?

They can't produce shit hot music 24/7, 365 days a year! It's been 2 1/2 years since Avocado... some bands have 6-10 years between albums. Yeah we're due a new one and a tour but I think that'll come next year. In between we've had some good shit like Into The Wild, the eV solo tour, East coast tour, Tone, more Stone material and another DVD being released (so what if it's 2004 footage, tell me a PJ fan who WON'T want to see it) plus stuff like the Cubs single and the fact that the US election is just round the corner!!!

Get off their backs! They also have families to care for and lives of their own ouside of this little career they call 'Pearl Jam'. Personally, I'm prepared to take in all the little tidbits and wait for a great new album and an awesome tour... whenever it happens.
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

It could be worse, you could be a Sublime fan with no new material in the future.

LOL, this post is both very funny and very morbid.

why can't the band put out a new record with out taking 3+ years to do it? (I say three years because we all know a 2009 release is optimistic.)

2009 optimistic? Ill be extremely surprised if their next album is released later than 2009. Mike said they may even finish the record the end of THIS year, or most likely early next year.

I'm crossing everything for a release early next year followed by a summer Euro tour! :D

If you are bored with this band, good! I revel the down times----I explore other music, see other bands, y'know "other bands"! Plus, it makes getting tix easier when they do tour!
I hold the pain, release me!
