  • A pre-election single would be awesome! Although, I'm not sure if they could pull one out in the next week and a half. ;)

Dude, open your eyes and ears. If you can't find any new material then your not looking hard enough.

It could be worse, you could be a Sublime fan with no new material in the future.

Dude seriously...How can you be bored with EVERYTHING that is out there? You have watched every video??...you have listened to every show??...you have listened to every demo??...you have read all the articles on line??....We are talking HUNDREDS of shows?? There is so much stuff you could be revisiting, or finding that is new that you cant possibly be serious?? I am SURE you dont have EVERYTHING do you? Why not go back and listen to another year....Find some shows you havent heard in a while.. Dissect them....hear something you might have missed the last time you listened to it.....Look through you collection and see what shows you might be missing...see if they exist, and try and find them....That is what you do when there is down time....

no new music from pearl jam is the point, not everyone cares about their extracurricular acitivites, hearing old records played live and reading articles from the past.

There's been a lot of talk lately on the cahoots message board about whether Brendan would bring them back to their classic rock, warm sounding early records... or whether he would continue with their recent trend of more experimental, techno music. Either way, I'm just happy they're back in the studio!!

As far as I can tell May 2006 was when the last new Pearl Jam material was released.

The last news about new material was from Bonaroo.

So yes I am bored. I guess what I was trying to say is that if Vedder can pen Into the wild in three weeks after watching a movie why can't the band put out a new record with out taking 3+ years to do it? (I say three years because we all know a 2009 release is optimistic.)

In the mean time.. Neil Young has put out two albums aand done three tours... he is 62

Kings of Leon 2 albums and they have never stopped touring

I guess asking the question is sacralidge...

Oh well... not much else to chat about... How about some new from the studio? or Playing a new song live?

    Hrmmm

The answer is no. I spent 10+ hours in the same space as Pearl Jam this year, and ~8 hours in the same space as Ed, enjoying their music. Creativity comes in cycles, and bands create when they have something to say. They need that space. They're not a factory that turns out a product on a schedule. Don't just focus on one band. As much as Pearl Jam is in my top 3 bands, I listen to a lot of other music too, and keep up with news of other bands. When there's a lull with one, someone else is going full speed (NIN right now). Then NIN might take a break and PJ will heat up. There's a lot of good music out there.

Nah.. it's a message board, ask whatever you want! I was just fucking with you.:) This thread was fun.:D I would never get upset if somebody was challenging the greatness of Pearl Jam. Yes I love them, but I'm not fanatical over them. I mainly post on here because I like the fans that PJ attracts... good people.

Exactly. Instead of me spending all my money following Pearl Jam around.. I would rather spread it out over a bunch of different bands that I like. I'm a big fan of good music, and there is plenty of it out there.. at least for me.:o

  • I think the dwindling number of visitors to this message board answers your question about whether we're bored. Yes! But then again, we're a bit spoiled by this band. Spoiled children are hard to please and easily bored!
