I'd LOVE to take credit for this one, but PillowPants is the one that bumped it. Check a few posts prior.

I've literally scoured her old thread titles to find a good one, and couldn't. I missed this one.

I avoided it for awhile, because it seemed dumb, but then I found out it can be sort of cool for music, if the bands and artists actually use it. (Pearl Jam would not fall in to that category.)

Like, for instance, my second favorite band has five members and another touring member, and I follow them all on twitter, so it can be cool to get actual updates on new shows, or recordings, or even stuff like if they enjoyed a recent show or something. I dont post tweets, because I have nothing to say, and no one would care if I did, but it is nice to join and just follow people. I don't need to know what anyone had for breakfast, but like I said, if they want to give updates on music stuff, its really cool, and there is really no quicker way of finding something out then if a dude tweets something at 9 am like "just got to the studio to record some new songs".

So with that said, I follow my favorite bands, and some of their personal pages, I also follow a few athletes and celebrties or comedians, but only if they say funny stuff fairly often, I dont care about you because you are a celbrity, but if you can post things that make me laugh, I will be happy to read them.

With all that said, unfortnatley, as I said, Pearl Jam does not use Twitter this way. None of the members seem to have public personal accounts, and the main Pearl Jam Twitter pretty much just tells you the same things you hear here, no sooner and with no more or extra information.
