And you're wrong there. The idea of a kindly magical old man dropping presents down a chimney is far more exciting to a child than the idea of their parents going to smyths and buying a lego set.
No its just the toy, doesn't matter who it came from. I've got kids. I was a kid. I wasn't dissappointed at all my guitar didnt' come from Santa, I was pumped about my guitar. It topped every other year. Plus, there may be a benefit to the idea that the gift came from someone who actually does love you.bombs, dropping down, please forgive our hometown0 -

I really enjoy Christmas, but more for the snow and family time. The presents seem to be out of control these days. I also like Christmas lights, just not covering an entire house with them. Living in New England you really enjoy this time of year.PJ:

I STILL believe in Santa. So there.
And I don't mind people saying "Happy Holidays" around this time of year, but when people tell me I'm stupid for celebrating Christmas, then I start getting a little mad. I'll let you celebrate your holidays and believe what you want to believe; kindly do the same for me.Chicago 2000 : Chicago 2003 : Chicago 2006 : Summerfest 2006 : Lollapalooza 2007 : Chicago 2009 : Noblesville (Indy) 2010 : PJ20 (East Troy) 2011 : Wrigley Field 2013 : Milwaukee (Yield) 2014 : Wrigley Field 20160 -

reversedarwinism wrote:BS. Easter does have the bunny. You don't get gifts for Easter. You don't get out of school for two weeks. For most people it involves more of a concentration on church, which usually sucks for kids. Kids would be just as pumped with out santa. Hell my 3 year old is pumped about Christmas and he's scared of Santa and doesn't want anything to do with him. He wants a Wall-E toy.

I'll take Thanksgiving over Christmas any day.. Christmas has been blown way out of proportion, thanks to its materialistic aspects, but hey, what ever keeps the economy going..0
