Worst Week Ever for Boston Sports

Brady done for the year with MCL and ACL tear. I was there live and still can't believe this has happened.

Now Sox drop 2 of 3 at home to the Rays in two of the most frustrating games ever. Damn those Rays!!!

And the Bruins continue to not spend any money on players. Jacobs, you tuck-a-buck, open up the purse strings. I haven't been to a live game in years and won't go until they put on a decent product for the money they charge.

    Why ALL the whining, injuries are a part of the game, the Red Sox still play the Rays and can make up the difference and the Bruins are better than you think.

    Baseball teams lose two out of three all the time and the Brady injury stinks but they happen.

    Neither is too dramatic in the grand scheme of things as both the Sox and Pats will make the playoffs in their respective leagues.

    Now if you want a truly devastating day in history for a town - check out April 21, 2001.

    Reggie Miller hits a game winner at the buzzer for a playoff win over the 76ers.

    The Flyers lose 7-0 in Game 7 of the playoffs to the Sabres at home.

    The Eagles draft Freddie Mitchell in the first round.

    Now that was a truly awful day in sports for one sports city.

    Boston fans are so funny. My buddy, who is a huge Red Sox fan, is about to lynch Jason Bay for going 0-7 last night and striking out 3 times and leaving 7 runners stranded. Where's the loyalty? Just a month ago, he was supposed to be the big savior.

    He had a bad game for sure, no doubt. I don't understand why they didn't pinch run Papi in the 14th with Coco, unless Coco got lifted earlier. Didn't see the whole game, but Coco could've been the DH and pinch run for Papi as he's a heckuva lot faster than Papi obviously. Hey, Papel blew the save the other night. ARod is not the only one who has bad games.

    Coco pinch ran earlier in the game so the only options were to pinch run for Papi were Casey, Bailey, and Kotteras.

    Well, we really weren't used to winning much back then. I was just SO looking forward to the football season this year. But there appears to be a lot of parity out there. I'll predict that Buffalo gets a Wild Card slot this year. And I'm not saying the Pats are done. But a lot of scheming will need to be done from B squared.

    Still that had to be bad. Injuries happen, sometimes you can't prevent them but you can prevent the hiring of bad coaches and managers.

    Plus, the evil Sith Lord Belicheat will have something up his sleeve to make sure the Pats stay on top. With the Sox and Celts winning championships, complaining about Brady going down is like complaining about a flat tire on a Ferrari.

    He had 1 off night. He's been very good otherwise. He hit the go ahead 2 run homer the other night. The Sox will be fine.

    I do agree with the fact the fans around here are funny. Rewind to 2000-01 and there was so much bitterness around here it was awful. Now the bitterness has turned into spoiled-ness.

    People are complaining and worried, it makes me laugh. Since Feb of 2002 there's been: 4 Super Bowls (3 Wins), 2 World Series wins (which still means more than any of the Super Bowl wins), and an NBA title.

    You would think people would be happy.
