    FRED.

was down there last night. awesome seats behind home plate in hof club....the chants for freddy and then him delivering....fucking awesome. that right there is what makes baseball so great. hopefully they can build on this.

by the way---all the spoiled phils fans freaking out right now and hopping off the bandwagon are the same one's who barely paid attention prior to 2007. you know who you are. aaaaand you'll be back for the late season push when they get healthy.

xfiniity is pretty fucking cool. gonna be a lot of riff raff to deal with down there though. wish it were bigger. we walked through when the flyers scored a goal. place went nuts. they had the pa announcer and everything.

    GO. PHILS.

    carry on... my wayward sons.

Last night’s game was a pleasure to watch. And the fans chanting Freddy and then him coming through, was just as exciting to watch at home as I'm sure it was at the ballpark.

My sister said Xfinity is like one big food court. She went to an event at the Wells Fargo Center on Tuesday and she said that two of the restaurants weren’t even open and the rest of the place was mobbed. Every place had a two hour waiting time. Why did they make it so small?

    Bizarre :o
On August 17,1957 CF Richie Ashburn of the Phillies hit fan Alice Roth twice with foul balls during the same at bat.
The first foul broke her nose, and then Ashburn lined a second ball into her as she was being carried off on a stretcher. :wtf:

Yep, that's a legendary story around here.

Whitey would've said about last night's Flyers game: "Had 'em all the way Harry."

(Didn't they call him Whitey while he was still a player???)

I'm surprised no one has mentioned that Pat Burrell is signing with the Phillies again. It's only a one-day contract, and it's just so he can retire as a member of the organization. I think it's a classy move.

I love that he did this. I'm happy to see him retire as a Phil. Philly will always have their strange love affair with Pat the Bat.

I was at the game last night, had a great time. So funny to see Ty Wigginton smash that. I'll be there again on Saturday.. been waiting all season to break out the tailgate gear.

Saw one of you goons in a 10C hoodie last night -

Yeah I heard that too. I'll never forget Harry's day of passing, it falls on the same day as another death in my circle, as well as yesterday was the anniversary of the death of a very dear friend. My nana died in April too.

Baseball may start in April, but for the most part, April sucks for me. :(

I remember getting the phone call about Harry from my dad. We both didn't say much, really such a sad day. Harry was like the grandpop I never met. RIP HK.

The Phillies know how to show their appreciation to a guy who worked so hard for them. As I said, they're a class act organization.
