I can't imagine there are many teams that have the regulars every day at this point in the season. I wouldn't be suprised if the Yanks didn't have their regulars together every day over the same time period.0 -
It's so weird rooting for you guys to do well...last time I did that was on the days Pedro Martinez would start for you. I feel even dirtier this time, however, business is business and the Cards need to go. Another day of -2 on the Magic Number would be nice. Go Cole Hamels, and Shane Victorino! ughhh...i feel so sick now.0

i guess.
point is phils are on the verge of 100 wins despite numerous injuries to all of their key players for lengthy stretches this year. that is pretty fucking impressive.www.myspace.com0 -

Cliffy frequently misses the point.

I'm not missing the point. The Phillies could win 100 games with almost any offense in the league. Maybe thats an exaggeration but you get my point.
Every team has injuries, especially at this point in the year. Off the top of my head. Yankees have lost Arod, Jeter, Soriano and Joba among many others for extensive periods. Braves have lost Jones, Heyward and Hanson. Boston has lost Buccholz, Youklis, Drew, Dice K and others here and there.
Edit: And yeah, that was just an ugly game all around. Good times though.0 -

i know right? usually takes a pretty healthy to win a 100 games. phils have been pretty damn resilient this year.www.myspace.com0 -

Seriously though...the guy is having the worst season of his career. He's hitting 249 for christ sake
4th hitter every day on a 5 time division title winner. i'll take it.
and is he as clutch as your boy adrian gonzalez who is 1-21 in the last 7 games against tampa bay as his team chokes away a playoff spot? and don't forget adrian's team choked away a playoff spot last year in september as well.
hopefully roy shuts down the cards tonight. i want no parts of them in the playoffs. between annoying as hell la russa and pujols in the lineup let's keep those fuckers away from us. not that i think the phils lose to them but more would just be annoyed putting up with la russa and having to worry about pujols 4x a game.0 -

I can't deal with watching LaRussa fuck around with his bullpen for a whole playoff series. Agree with you here.
