5, $85 mill is a bargain IMO. Hopefully it happens soon.

A weekful of rain delays kind of fucked things up. No biggie. 8-)

shit happens during a 6 month baseball season.

i'm more concerned about rollins than anything else right now....hopefully the mri is clean.

just saying the bullpen could be a problem. It's not the results of the weekend, it's the big picture that's disconcerting

i think the bullpen has been one of the team's strengths this year...i mean they do lead the league in fewest blown saves. even if it's not as strong as you'd like the starters should routinely go 7 or 8 strong come playoff time anyway. giants fans are the ones who should be scared of their pen right now.

rollins to dl...now that fucking blows.

    blown saves...riiiight.

what RPs are you confident in to succeed in big playoff spots? I know people expect the starters to throw nine innings every playoff game, but it's not really practical.

I don't mean this as a sky is falling type deal...just saying that this is a genuine weakness. HOpefully it's not exposed come playoff time. A lot of times in playoff series the team with the better bullpen is the one that prevails...happens all the time

i dunno. that was the first hit bastard had given up in about 3 weeks. i'm still confident in him, madson and stutes. i didn't say 9 inning from the starters. 7 to 8 ip from them is reasonable.

and not that you can count on him, but i liked the way schwimmer responded after his first batter yesterday too. 4 k's in 2 innings or something?

if your'e talking middle relief--i'm with you. but the back end of the pen has been solid all year. few hiccups recently. but that happens.

Any new blonde chicks on csn this year? Just had dinner at new wave and some chick next to me with her dad clearly was on air for csn, dropping names the whole time and talking how barkann, rhea Hughes, matt cord and all them are coming to her wedding. I know shes on csn because she kept talking about fuck ups with barkann

yeah, madson and bastardo are the only competent options right now. I like madson, always have, but he's not immune to shitting himself in big spots.

in 08 they had 5 guys that they could roll out the pen in big spots. this year they're down to 2. i'm just sayin

Ha, it was Colleen Wolfe, never heard of her but it was her, no doubt. She was name dropping to her old man like crazy. Pretty funny. Chick was proud of her gig.

Makes sense since she was wearing a phillies t shirt and was clearly from this area.

well like i said i like stutes. so that would be 3. i don't think it's as bad as you think. could be better. but every team has some flaws.

'08 also featured a rotation with 1 guy having an era under 3.75. that makes a huge difference.
