starbucks is way too expensive these days, but sometimes i have to give in!
for me, its a light caramel frappuchino or an iced caramel macchiato when its hot, and a caramel macchiato or vanilla latte when its cold
    yummm!

i don't have anything against starbucks as a business, but i do not like their coffee at all. dunkin donuts has better coffee. i'll also take caribou and seattle's best over starbucks. it's just not that great.

I agree... I don't drink coffee all that much, but I just don't think it's that good at all. Enough people must like it though, they are always busy.

    Coffee sucks. Tea sucks.

    haha, yeah.... being healthy sucks!
I really screwed that up. I really Schruted it.
  • I'm not a fan of Starbucks' regular coffees, but their lattes are fantastic. Especially now that we are in the season of the pumpkin spice latte :) Their iced coffees are good too imo. Prices are steep for the lattes and whatnot, but for the superior taste it's just worth it.

The $1 large coffee at the guy on the corner is much tastier.

I am not much of a coffee drinker so maybe I am missing something. Can't you get the sweets in a candy bar and pay a lot less.
behind you 100% BD, starbucks IS NOT coffee!!
if you think it is, then your pallette has obviously been destroyed by the big cup of warm milk that's covering up what little bitter coffee has been put in by the bad barista behind the gutless espresso machine.

and then they have the audacity to charge you your left nut for it!

(I do like Starbucks breakfast sandwiches...they are very filling if you are hungry in the morning!)
BUT once you eat there with your coffee too regularly then you get sick of it very quickly....tooo many banana loafs.
I feel like if I really need to wake up Starbucks coffee is the strongest for sure....if I want to save a couple bucks I got to a cheaper brand....
I would say I am a HUGE coffee drinker..
I have a coffee pot & espresso machine at home. Starbucks coffee for home is WAY over priced!
If there were more Seattle's Best where I live then I would go there.
They closed the one down in my neighborhood.
I also love JJBean...(but I think that's only local to us Vancouverites??)
I feel like I am going on and on...

I also LOVE Nabob....that's what I grew up on....and to save some dollars for home brew I often buy Organic Nabob! :) Its only 6.00$ compared to the freakin 11.50$ for 1/2 a pound @ Starbucks!!....

I prefer the local shop myself, but when I'm on the road or need a "fix" there is always a Starbucks around that is going to be better than most other coffee I have access to.
  • Starbucks coffee gives me a headache. I prefer the local deli or Dunkin Donuts.

I love Starbucks but I like my coffee really strong and they seem to be the only ones that make it as strong as I like. Sure as hell beats the Folgers we have when I get to work. I don't like DD. It is too sweat for me, especially early in the morning. I like something a little bitter.

As far as the cost, its not that expensive if you get regular coffee and even cheaper if you use your own mug :)

Now that I have a very nice espresso machine at home, I have no need to buy coffee when I'm out & about. I have a couple long pulls at home, then go to work and have one there. We have the same beans at home as we do where I work and they are from a local roaster. So delicious!

I prefer tea (having a nice cup of green tea now).
But if I'm out and I want that cozy feeling or need a pick me up I'll get starbucks (hot chocolate, pumpkin spice latte or a cappacino)...but it's not a regular thing (I don't have money like that!! ;))

LMAO! I don't like milky tea! I only like a splash!! A splash I tell yas

And I know you like honey. :p

I did forget you worked for a coffee company. :o Once I heard the words "instant coffee" I had horrible flashbacks to my time in Ireland and I wrote you off...the same way I did when you said you prefer crunchy peanut butter

Aww maybe Santa will buy you a coffee maker so you don't have to drink instant ;)

HAHA if only my "good friend" vital5 still posted here. He claimed that there was no good coffee in America because we don't have any Turkish or Greek people living here. haahaha that still makes me crack up. We do have those ethnicities here...and good coffee...you just have to know where to go for that cup of joe ;)
  • I heart Starbucks coffee. I really dig the Pumpkin Spice Latte w/ skim. But I brew Espresso blend at home, in a french press. So heady! I usually just get coffee w/ cream but for a treat the Latte.

A Grande Coffe is $2. A medium at DD is $1.93 - I'd much rather have Starbucks for the extra seven cents.

I noticed this weekend when I was at my parents a Medium at Dunkin was $1.71 where at my house it's $1.93. I thought that was crazy!

I've had Turkish coffee once before and Lebanese coffee. That is some strong shit!! I'm an avid coffee drinker and it doesn't give me the pick me up it use to but that stuff had me wide awake ALL night!!
  • Wawa is the only coffee that matters....

And a large, 24 oz. is only $1.50....So, suck on that.

i'm very specific with my coffee - i drink a lot of it.
    its horrible i know.

usually i'll go to the nearby locally run coffee place, its near my bus route to school and right smack beside my job. however, sometimes they are closed (like sundays for instance)

so i'll go to starbucks or tim hortons.

when i'm in the mood for something specific, then i'll go to a certain place.

i find starbucks makes the best chai latte (i just had one in fact!) and pumpkin spiced latte... if i feel for something cold i'll usually go to tim hortons and have a french vanilla iced cap, or my local place and get a cafe frio. macchiatos are best done at starbucks as well, but my local place comes in a very close second so either place i'll go to for that.

it all depends on the drink!!!

Cuban coffee is where it's at. mix some with warm milk and it's amazing.

or just a tiny shot during the middle of your day to keep you awake.
