I think they turned into "ah, wait Ethan Hunt is just an empty vessel for another stunt" with 4 and onward. That makes them uninteresting to me. In the first he felt like a human being - even with Tom having some difficulty radiating that quality that in many of his roles - and in the third one at least they tried and had him cry. GIVE ME THE RABBITSFOOT

4 and onward it's just "action man" doing "stunts". I find it kind of okey for a cinema trip (like the last one with the train sequence etc) but I would not call them good in their shallowness.

They are definitely spectacle movies and not pretending to be anything else. But they are some pretty impressive action set pieces.

Need to take my son to see that. He’s been on a Bob Dylan kick lately. But first I have to kick this Covid I got. Boo on being sick!

Even with all the VFX addons to the latest Seven release... I'm thinking about going and see it in the cinema... Would rather watch an original 35mm copy from back then... but... hmm... the new George Lucas 4K release might still be worth a trip to the cinema...

Crazy Heart.  This was the only other time I've seen this fine movie since it came out.  It's so good, but it sure does bring up a lot of hurt.  Might be another 15 year till I see it again.

Knocked these out on the plane ride home from Rome today. Mission and Batman were rewatches, but had not seen the other two.

The beautiful story of an ambitious young intern who said fuck that noise on my salary, I’ll supplement it  with some sugar @ work 😉

    I salute you 🫡

In all seriousness, interesting film… pretty good commentary on our modern world , Roles/relationships etc

apparently Kidman had trouble on set as she was experiencing "too many orgasms". My condolences to Mr. Urban.

Between her ex husband,  her current husband, her movie husband in this….. there is a pattern, the intern is more a volleyball player than a horse jockey 😆

she’s a tall drink of water or should I say milk 🤭…
