I remember liking Drag Me to Hell, but I also remember thinking it should have been R. Was waiting for some Evil Dead style nastiness.

I never really liked Drag Me to Hell. Because of the CGI-overuse and the "Netflix before netflix" feel of the film... it feels like a TV-episode in a "Tales from the Crypt/Twilight Zone" series more than a fully developed film... nothing wrong with that, but back then I felt and I still feel it's a bit paltry and claustrophobically small. The Bank set looks like it was made for an SNL sketch.

I do remember the theatrical showing of it back then being amazing though. A big room, filled to the brim with teenagers that scream and jumped in just the right way. Great experience. Not a super-great film.

Agree! The way it uses the sound to tell the real story was especially amazing. I loved this film.

Weirdly enough I had the OG on VHS. I've seen bits and pieces of it but to be honest I don't think I ever saw it the whole way through.

Have zero memories of Twister. Must have seen it back when. Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton (plus P S hoffman) is enticing. Might rent the first one.

Zero interest in watching modern CGI-fests made in 2024 in the cinema though.
