    Was it @The Juggler who mentioned unnecessary scenes in films?  That one in The Firm?

    Despite some reservations - I'm not really a Cruise fan - I decided to give Mission Impossible a shot last night.  Right at the beginning, when he's leaving his prison cell, he does a flip over the rail to the level below.  I actually said, "Really?  Fuck you then."  I hate indulgent shit like that.

    So we gave Escape from LA a go.  I've never seen it before; my husband has.  We had a blast making fun of it for about half an hour, then quit.  I will not watch such cheesiness alone.

    May give Tombstone a shot this evening = another one he's seen (and loves) that I haven't.

    Tombstone is not the best telling of that tale but it is a fun one.  I like it - for sure some cheese but that is part of the fun.

    I actually used "I'll be your huckleberry" one time at a party and the result was nearly a line brawl.

    Watched THE RING with my mom yesterday. 

    Man, the original is a lot better. Even with the american one looking nice and Naomi Watts carries it with ease.
