Visited a friend this weekend. Just hung out and watched a few movies on Netflix/Amazon Prime.

    Time Trap (2017)
    Pretty cool sci-fi/time travel movie.

    Chernobyl Diaries (2012)
another solid horror film i thought.

    Edge of Tomorrow (2014)
I was pretty tired from driving and not getting too much sleep the night before and so Unfortunately we saw this one kinda late so I fell asleep and missed most of it.

    REC (2007)
Spanish "found film" zombie movie. This one was also really good. The main character was a little annoying though. She reminded me of Gale Weathers from the Scream franchise. Other than that it was still very well done.

It's not terrible and had it's moments.  I guess it depends on how much you enjoy the 5-minute videos on YouTube.  It certainly was not a waste of my time.

I do enjoy the shorts. But typically these types of things don't translate well to a full movie format. I'll check it out!

I thought it was very funny. At one point we had to pause it and rewind because we couldn't stop laughing.

Like all movies being made out of e.g. a SNL sketch or a TV-show it turns to traditional and bland instead of using the strengths of the original concept. Pretty similar to Ricky Gervais latest The Office movie (where David Brent tours as a rockstar). But it's worse here with the original concept being so tight and focused.

When they have to explain what TV-channel the show is on, and give a bunch of backstory the concept is immediately too watered down for me. I don't need or want that extra information to "ground" it for 90 minutes.

They should have made the story tighter and focused on the interviews and what happens in that room, and around it. And not have scenes in diners where pointless characters gets to know each other etc.

But the actual BTF interviews are still funny.

Joker, my god was that bad.  Not too dark or too violent or anything like that, just too boring.  Saw it in a group of four people and two of them loved it.

Joker. I liked it a lot. One of the better DC movies recently (along with Wonder Woman and Shazam)

Yeah, it's actually the second one. Our son is five too and he loved them both.

Vice. Just made me more pissed off about the Bush years and all of the shit happening now. The last 20 years have not been good, and really, maybe none of the past 100 years has been that good. Fucking politicians and human greed.
    It's a hopeless situation...

"The Public".  Written and directed by Emilio Esteves, starring Esteves and Alec Baldwin.

I can't say enough about this movie.  My wife and I both though it was excellent!  One of the best I've seen this year and other years!

yes although i'm pretty sure there's only one version of it. I know they made a sequel, An American Werewolf in Paris, in the mid-late 90's of it which from what I heard sucked.

    Sideways.
I remember buying the DVD when it came out, watching it once then eventually giving it away. It was on tv tonight so I thought I’d give it another shot. I didn’t make it all the way through.

I loved that film in its time.  The Dr. Pepper guy!

The Howling is in that early morph scene genre too.  Great, cheesy movie.

Who cares about the special effects, it has Jenny Agutter in there. Check out Logan's Run form the 70's if you haven't seen it for more impressive scenes from her.
    This weekend we rock Portland
