Why is it that people that push evolution also support welfare and other "entitlement" (btw, you're not entitled to anything) programs? Why try to fight nature and let the weaker less productive human capital die off?

Some people are right to question evolution as it clearly isn't working on them.

Before you start down your closeminded evolution path I would suggest you ask yourself "then what created life in the first place?" btw, no one has that answer, no one. I would suggest you check out this movie. Try to be openminded.

Uhh... who was being closed minded? Evolution doesn't even try to explain how life was started, so what does that have to do with anything? The most closed minded people in our history as a species have been religious zealots.

I would argue that they are consuming resources that could be put to better use.

(I'm not going to say how much of this I believe. I get off on debating and getting people to think rather than just react.)

    Right on.

Who ever said that evolution describes how life BEGAN? You can believe in evolution AND believe in a creator of life. These two ideas are not mutually exclusive.

Some people don't believe that, though. They can't explain it but they think everything just sprang to life one day.

Right.... I get what you are saying.

I think it is unfortunate that "Elite Science" and the Religious elite don't work together... Science shouldn't try to nullify religion and vice versa.

The ultimate paradox is that our society is advancing faster than ever before, and we continue to give ourselves more questions to answer!!!

Science is more than open to religion, most of our greatest scientists have been devout believers in God or some higher power. They even find that the pursuit of knowledge enhances their beliefs.

Even the most ardent evolution scientists can't explain how life actually started.

I think the problem with saying "God did it" is that it's an easy cop-out at this point. If people are so sure there's a god that created, why can't they sit back let science objectively prove it?

A religious person may explain it but they have no proof...

The job of science is not to prove anything but to disprove things. My belief is that we will never know how life began and we can never prove that.
