The snap shot judgement comes from those who lack empathy and understanding of why a person would commit suicide! Because they are ignorant as to why someone would commit suicide they buy into the stereotypes about suicidal people!
Last year, I did some voluntary work for a charity called mind and they help people with mental health issues and during my time I met several people who attempted to commit suicide and it was through meeting these several people, listening to them as they opened up about their lives that I realised they were not heinous people, but rather thoroughly decent people who had problems dealing with the stresses and strains of life and who had rough child-hoods that made me want to cry!
Regardless of their situation, it's a jerk move to jump in front of a train. You cause inconvenience for a lot of people, trains running late (not just the one jumped in front of), extra buses or trains need to be employed; that means people, you can traumatise a lot of people (just imagine you're the driver), people have to clean up whatever's left of your body and I can tell you it's not a pretty sight.
I don't know how it is in the States or Canada but here the family actually has to pay a pretty large bill (costs, delays, clean up... )

but don't you think that they are in a state of mind what makes them unaware of the trauma they cause? i mean, f.e. how may children have walked into one of their parent's who hung themselves? if they where in their "right" mind, they would'nt have done it that way. there really isn't a way to kill yourself that won't cause a trauma for those who love you...
How do you know their plans were slightly changed or that they were only thinking about themselves. They have families, friends and stuff to attend to. Perhaps they missed a very crucial connexion, perhaps they were going to see a friend who was in dire need etc.
I agree, there's no reason to shout at the people who are there to help you, though.
Because every single person on that train was coming from the Neil show and there were only 3 more stops on that route, with no connections after that.
End of the road.

You have to pay here too.
And I understand the frustration. But the person who killed themselves obviously didn't care about that. And I can guarantee you that if I was in the frame of mind in which suicide seemed to be the only option, I wouldn't care either.
Selfish? Yes. But it certainly doesn't downplay the severity of their situation.

To keep you clear of the sun
You've been burned more than once
You don't think much of trust
You have to pay here too.
