I don't want to cause an outrage, I haven't seen the tackle, the pictures are awful, and I have the deepest sympathy for Eduardo, he is an excellent footballer.
    But...Arsene Wenger is a hypocrite.
I seem to remember some of his players, just 7 days ago, losing their tempers, and discipline, and kicking and lashing out themselves. Some of those could easily have ended the way this did. It's a shame, and unfortunate for the player...but it happens, unfortunately.
    I came, I saw, I concurred.....

Totally agree, Wenger hasn't got any room to talk but i do agree that tackle was in no way shape or form acceptable.

I'm gonna go with the TV director's decision on not showing footage of that by not looking for any. I'm not very good with seeing these breaks. Bad bad negative reaction.

The guy should be banned for however long Eduardo is out injured, x4.

i'm sorry for the video,it isnt good.ill put another one
on youtube you have to be older than 18 (parental control) to see the video because it is awful-maybe it doesn't seems like it but it is :(
when you see all the players praying and their shocked faces, and then the picture with his leg,you stay speechless

yes,i am arsenal fan,but i would also react if an arsenal player did this to other footballer

there wasn't need to do this, because the game just started(2nd minute of the game) and eduardo was 30-35 meters from the goal

    why are we mad?
eduardo was born in Brazil and he came to Croatia like a boy (he had 15 years,he is 24 years now-TOMORROW 25!) to play soccer for croatian football club.he was poor, didn't know any word of croatian and all he had was his soccer skills.soon he became one of the greatest footballers in croatia.he became a Croatian citizen.after that he was transfered to Arsenal London.he just accomodate and started scorinig in club when this happened.

WHY DO WE LOVE HIM? because he didn't change when he became one of the greatest footballers! he didn't have any scandal! he is happy married and having one chld-girl named Lorena.he didn't forget who is he,and his roots.he isn't boasting around.he stayed like he was before.
all croatia loves him,we accepted him like he was one of ours and he appreciated this.

for now there is more than 12 000 signs in petition

in the game i saw only 3 events-in rest i was shocked
    1. fall of eduardo
2.we were leading 2-1 in game but then they show arsenal fans on stadium, they were sitting, just like in theater, not even singing and waving, they were thinking on eduardo, then they show 2 arsenal fan, they were holding replica of eduardo's kit
    3. the game ended 2-2 (i wouldn't comment this, this was a trickery) and then they showed gallas (the arsenal capitan),he started crying just like a little child, and then i also started crying

soon we will make a movie in tribute for eduardo and his greatest goals,so you will see that there was a great potential which was probably ruined ON HIS 25 TH BIRTHDAY!yes, tommorow is his 25th birthday!

Look, sorry mate, but the guy hasn't been murdered. Or come down with some incurable disease. He's broken his leg, it can happen in a game of football, I've seen a dozen in my local league days. It's not nice, but it happens.
To suggest a player should be banned for life for one badly timed tackle, is just a ludicrous waste of breath and typing skills.
    Get over it, he will.
You obviously didn't see the footage from last week, where Arsenal players petulantly and spitefully kicked at the opposition, when they were losing. And then Wenger had the cheek to defend it, saying that Nani, was showing off, and players don't like to be humiliated and will kick out...the man is ridiculous, as is this idiotic petition.
    Get well soon, Eduardo.

As for Gallas, and you crying...get a grip, both of you. Gallas is a spoiled kid, or behaved like one yesterday at least...come to think of it, he behaved like a spiteful spoiled kid last week also, when they were losing 4-0 at Man U.
    I came, I saw, I concurred.....

look jamie_uk,i won't argue with you or anybody else
it looks like you forget who pierced your goalie and because of whom you don't go to EURO 2008, NHF :)

what gallas did against nani isn't right, but he didn't incapacitated him for 2 seasons-i don't defend him

about petition-this wasn't mine idea and i don't have any profit from it

till now there is more than 21 000 signs in petition-that is the number of people who think that bannig him (or any other punishment) should be right

i'm not sure which is the usual punishment in england-in my country worst is 6 months of suspension>eduardo won't play at least 8 months(then he can start again training) to 2 years of rehabilitating>we will miss our best player in EURO 2008,Arsenal will miss him in Champions league and PL

if you don't agree with suggested punishment, say what it should be

Gunner v, I won't argue with you either. You are letting your emotions run too high. What happened was awful, but it was not deliberate (unlike Gallass' kick and head butt on Nani, and Eboue's foot to Evra's thigh, and Gilberto's 2 cynical trips), it was simply a mis-timed tackle. Even Wenger has retracted his comments, he realises you can't ban players for life for a mis-timed tackle.
Taylor will recieve a 3 match ban for the red card, there's no other punishment.
Like I said get well soon Eduardo.
Oh and by the way, you didn't pierce my goalkeeper sir.....I'm from Wales not England :p

Well, Wales is in the UK.
Any extra punishment will be simply to pacify. We see tackles like that regularly, and no one gets hurt, and nothing more is done. I wonder is it right to serve up more punishment? It wont change what happened. And yes, that's good news indeed, as was the Arse dropping 2 points, and Man U tightening the gap :D

horrible tackle. reminds of when cisse broke his leg (twice actually). truly horrible images. however a life ban is a little out of line.
