any other boards even CLOSE to the Message Pit??

This place continues to amaze me! :D Sometimes I wish I hadn't ever gotten a username, just because it's so damn addicting. :p

The people here are so cool (for the most part). Where else can I get mp3's sent to me, get pointed to gremmie.net, find classic DVD performances, get doggie advice, fight with Republicans and talk shit about baseball?? :D

I recently had some Paul Westerberg music sent to me. The guy said he found it on the "Replacements board." WTF? The Replacements have a board??? They've been broken up for 18 years!

So, I'm not looking to get addicted to anything else but I'm wondering........ is the Message Pit just another board............or is it THE board? :D
If I had known then what I know now...

    I am a heavy poster over at rateyourmusic.com too but there's as much bullshit as there is here and a lot less of the good stuff. I just love it for the breadth of musical information which you don't get with a board for a specific band.

    this place isnt bad for sure, but i like 4chan too just because i can really say whatever i want there. and it is funnier than this place. this place needs images too. but all in all it must be a great board ive been here how long now? if this place sucked i wouldnt still be posting here.

    The only other message board I really go to and post at is an attachment parenting one. I just hit 8000 posts there today!

    I used to go to therushforum but man they are sooooooo elitest over there!

    this board is pretty cool, to be fair I've never bothered with many others. I joined the Red Mosquito forum....it's like the wild west, no regulations, no respect.....no class. Here is good.

    Oh i like Red Mosquito, though I haven't spent much time there in several years - there's just only so many boards one has time for. These days I mainly come to the PJ board to check if there's any new PJ news.

    that's an unfair comment if ever there was one. The mods here are on a hiding to nothing, and I myseld have been annoyed at times at them, but eventually I saw that what they do is needed, simply because some folks can't behave themselves. At times they seem over officious, but there is usually a reason. They do a good job in my eyes.
    And as fot the overdramatic pc lunatics....sorry, haven't met them yet. Have though met a whole load of kind, funny, smart, caring individuals.

    this is the only board i have ever been on so I have nothing to compare it to. It's a pretty good one I think--better at touring time tho.

    I don't want to get addicting to another one so that is fine.

    Go to more boards! This is a *very* loose board. There are a few rules, but not too many. There are other places where they slap you down hard, and quickly.

    Not really. What I said is what I think. I don't find this board to be restrictive, but perhaps our experiences differ. What I mean about loose, is people constantly start threads about every little thing, instead of having more dedicated threads, and unnecessary multiple threads on the same topic. Not orderly, but it is permitted here. I like a board where that kind of thing is controlled better, personally.

    I don't really know (or care) about all the issues regarding the mods, though, I will say... if you can't get your rocks off in here, go elsewhere. The internet is a big place, this forum does its purpose.
