    One of the most overrated players in the NFL alongside Reggie Bush. Tennessee still somehow wins a good amount of games with him though so I guess he must be doing something right.

    there's talk he's going to retire. The Titans are planning to use Kerry Collins as the starter for this year, and I think they just signed Chris Simms.

    They win because they play good D and have a good running game, all he has to do is not make mistakes, but he threw 2 INT's on Sunday. I will say this, he was one of the best High School QB's in the history of Texas and I saw him play every game here in Austin at UT and he was a BAD ASS college QB. In the NFL he needs to LISTEN to the coaches, don't make mistakes and it will come around. As far as him being a drama queen, well that's just a product of the way U.T. babies their players, Mack Brown is BAD at doing that.

    Remember when he said he wanted to retire after his rookie season because he didn't think the NFL was going to be as tough as it is?? Clearly he's not an emotionally stable guy, like another Longhorn superstar we remember that had worlds of potential then just fizzled out...yes, I'm talking about Toronto Argonauts great Rickey Williams.

    okay, anyone want to let me in on the scoop? i saw something on the tv but the sound was down. he went missing is what i first heard.

    yes im lazy, and dont feel like looking it up. im bouncing back and forth between the pit, and writing . i have a deadline. lol.

    Sorry, I still don't buy the whole double threat behind center. Young had great success in college because he was the best athlete on the field pretty much every game. The NFL is too fast and hit to hard for guys like this to win the championship. Pure pocket passers are still the way to go.

    Need some examples?

    Cunningham (the original double threat), Vick, McNabb, Young, Akili Smith, etc.....0 championships. All were thought to be the next generation of QB's. I'll give McNabb credit, he came close....but folded when the game was on the line.

    Honestly, not to play dime-store psychologist.... but it sounds like Vince Young has some medical/emotional issues. Bipolar or ADD or somesuch.

    or maybe McNabb was cheated out of his super bowl. and McNabb is not done yet so don't rule out him winning one just yet.

    Steve Young won a championship and could run as well as any QB to play the game

    Other than McNabb the other QB's you mentioned cannot read defenses that well..that is why they can't compete or win not because they like to run too much

    You can put a spy on running QB's and they're done if they can't read defenses..McNabb hasn't been that first to run 2nd pass guy in awhile

    McNabb can throw much better the other guys. Plus, McNabb has become more of a Steve Young-type player, choosing to run when necessary.

    I am a TN fan, so I want him to succeed, but this is too much. He had too much coddling at TX, and Fisher isn't going to baby him. He needs to grow up and be a man. His mom's comments to ESPN don't help at all.

    From what I understand he wasnt the coaching staff or GMs choice, it was Bud Adam's who wanted him to kind of stick it to the city of Houston. I think Fisher wanted Cutler or Lienart. That being said, if he could get his shit together I think he could be a great player, but I hear he isnt the hardest worker in the world, and it seems he has some psych issues.

    What is sad is that I think the Titans are a serious superbowl contender with washed up Kerry Collins playing QB, but the defense has to do everything in their power to win games that Vince almost single handedly loses when he is behind center.

    I'll give you that, BUT, Steve looked to pass first and run only when needed, which he did very effectively. We could say the same for Elway early on.

    As far as "going anywhere" with it, I assume you are meaning I mentioned only black quarterbacks. Well, how many slow, cement footed, white boys have you seen drafted as a double threat? Exactly.
