i dont get that whole dog years thing... if i had a dog and it died seven years after i had it as a puppy i'd say it died aged 7.. i wouldnt have a quadratic equation at hand for its 'actual' dog years life... basically the fucking thing lived 7 years.. we're top of the evolutionary tree so i count everything in my life years,.. otherwise i'd be saying i killed a 77 year old worm whilst catching a 144 year old Trout... the dog was 7.. we only use dog years as dogs dying at aged 7 makes it sound horrific and child-like.. really, they were only really 7.. dog years doesnt come into it.. if it does then tortoises are 1454 years old by average.

I agree. I have never said any of my dogs died at age 84.

I say they died at 13 or 14, or whatever. But thats the equation to give you an idea of "how long" they lived.

I think the equation is even harder for smaller dogs since they live longer.....I dont know for sure....

Here is a dog years calculator....now I know why Petey is driving me insane the past couple of weeks. He is 15 months old and the human equivalent of a 14 year old and I have yet to get him altered!

My mom has heard of Pearl Jam, and if she heard their music she'd like them:D Actually, since they threw pics and tamborines to her grandkids she's probably a fan. Let's just say she is. She's 65. If she's the oldest let me know. I'll write an email to her

By the way, Mom, in case you didn't know, you're the oldest PJ fan! You know, that band that threw tamborines and pics to A&J at the concerts in NJ? Yep, that band.

if you are talking about kids who went to my high school, I only know of 4 and those were different schools I went to. But they died from drug overdoses or car accidents; not old age. Many of my relatives have died, but that includes two were sisters, aged 19 and 28 :( A guy at work just died at 51 from a massive heart attack but I seem to recall he smoked.

Youth may seduce, wisdom will inspire, but the best spaghetti sauce recipes are handed down from grandparents. Am I right or what?

We can say "We've been that age."

Those of "that age" can hope to get to "our age." :D
