No, then Boston might have lost the game.

I actually like the fact that the success of Boston/Massachusetts/New England teams are the biggest story in sports and it pisses off other sports junkies out there. :D

What pisses us off is how bandwagon it is! Go back and look at stands in the 80's of Fenway Park and tell me about this long tradition of Red Sox Nation. Most of this "Nation" can't even tell you who's #'s are retired in right field, or why there's a red seat.

The C's are 100X worse! Where were all these Boston fans when the team lost 18 in a row? They steal KG from a team ran by a lifetime Celtic (much like the Lakers stole Gasol from a lifetime Laker) and all of a sudden there good and New England is wrapped in green. Complete BS!

Be honest....what really pisses you off is that we are the sports MECCA of the world, huh? You hate seeing our teams in the paper day after day after day that you have resort to the whole "band wagon" issue. I'm not going to lie to you there are tons of band wagon fans here, but.....who the hell cares? Well, except for you apparently.

Tell me something what is the difinition of a bandwagoner? Also is there a requirement that one must know certain Red Sox team questions in order to not be a bandwagoner? What if one doesn't care to know All that kind of knowledge, what if they just want to root for their home team period?

Whoa, what a minute there...Gasol was a total give away...Ainge gave up Al Jefferson, a young very talented power forward for KG. I'll exclude Telfair from that trade coz he's a bum.

But Big Al has a potential of being the likes of Dwight Howard. He's already getting 15-10 a night and he's only what 20/21?

BTW, a lot of people think the Pierce-era Celtics did nothing before KG/Allen came over, but that far from the truth [pun intended] ;). They took the heavily-favored Piston out in 2002 to make it to the East Finals that year. Unfortunately the Nets were better that year and made to the Finals. So yeah, the Pierce-era Boston have had mostly downs but there's been quite a few highs as well. Now it's at its peak! ;)

edit: I had its/it's messed up.

As Phil Jackson said last night, some guys go to the Locker room to replace a shoe lace.

Not in a wheelchair, being wheeled to the locker room like an invalid, but still.

I am calling for some bad karma on the Celtics for these shenanigans. Same old crap.

Game 2 is going to be fun!

You can (and have) bitched aaaaalll you like, and it's all quite funny, but fact of the matter is, Boston won the game.

Would this PP episode be an issue if the CELTICS had LOST the GAME?

It would be just as ridiculous. I was laughing my ass off when he ran out. At that point, it was still anybody's game. Bottom line, it was well-played by the Celtics. They needed a source of emotion, and they manufactured that with the exaggerated injury. You have to use everything you have in the finals, and it paid off in game 1.

Game 2 is very important. Should be quite a game.
