  • I haven't been able to watch any of the games yet in the states

I want to see how 2 of the Flyers Prospects have been playing :

(CAN) CLAUDE GIROUX and (USA) James vanRiemsdyk

JVR as we call him much easier

I hear he's leading in points

I will be checking out the games on the NHL Network

yeah, that is great that the NHL Network in the US is picking up these games, I assume the feed from TSN up here.

Winner of this game, Canada v Finland, plays the Yanks on Friday.

Last year's semi-final between the US and Canada was epic because of the shoot-out

look it up on youtube if you have not seen it

well, I am sold on Tavares, that kid is money, as they say

Whoever gets the first pick in 2009 will have themselves one of those "turn around the franchise" type players

    4-2 win by Canada

    Canada vs USA in semi-finals

Haven't seen any of the US games, so don't know what to expect with them

probably one of the best all around games at tournament for Canada, scoring still hard to come by

loved the way the first Finland scored faked out the goalie with selling dumping the puck in the corner and then picking the glove side corner

  • Finland played relatively well IMO. The trend of backing right in front of your own goal seemed to continue, which usually starts a panic and a terrible scramble resulting to a goal or icing.

Canada didn't look like a champion team yet, but a win is all that matters of course. Goaltending was a bit shaky and might cause a problem with more pressure.

    Finland played relatively well IMO

They did play undisciplined, and their 2 goals were kind of, well, unskilled plays

Their goalie looked pretty good, what a surprise

Finland and producing goalies, what is in the water ?

Well i hope Mason is sharp come friday, he is weird tho, i've seen now a couple times in London, he does let in some shit goals, but he seems to make the saves on ones u don't think he'll get.

TSN's analysts (sp?) are speculating that Mason starting on Friday isn't written in stone, and that Hartsburg is speculating on putting Bernier back in
