All I know is that the Great Pumpkin would totally kick Santa's ass in a cage match to the death!

My wife and I are actually throwing a big ol' Halloween party at our house. It is really rare that we invite a bunch of people over, so we'll see how it goes. The band will play though and it will be our 5th anniversary of the first time we ever played in front of anyone.

Not sure what to dress up as...

It is by far my favorite holiday to go out on, and being on a Friday this year makes it even better.

We'll be carving pumpkins, and making pie and soup.
Won't be taking the kids out, as it's scary round here after dark :o, but we'll be turning out the lights, lighting candles and maybe renting a few scary movies :)

I wanna go to a Halloween party but I've not been invited as yet... although, I'm going out for my friend's hen night around that time dressed as Rogue from the Xmen :o

You should video the gig... and dress up as Captain Spaulding :D

    Ok, who's celebrating? Who's not?

Honestly I have zero interest in Halloween. We and none of our friends ever trick or treated or got dressed up as kids (think that is a more recent thing in this country ... copying the US) ... and where I live now we (in fact every where I've ever lived in the UK) don't get any trick or treaters so don't see any one dressed up so to me it really is a day like any other *shrugs*
So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?

So why are you in my thread? Halloween Grinch! Shoo!

    :p

When I lived in my old house, my partner at the time and myself would decorate and put carved pumpkins outside. I'd make halloween biscuits and get loads of lollypops in... we had loads of trick or treaters! :D

I suppose it depnds on where you live. I'm looking forward to spending time with the children in my life and celebrating Autumn and the darker side of life by carving pumpkins and making things :)

Why I ought to blend you up with some eye of newt and toss you in my batwing stew. Then maybe you'd appreciate Halloween a bit more.

We have a party every year at my place of employment with big cash prizes. This year I plan to be Darth Vader. I will be bringing my son (who will be dressed up as Yoda) and my daughter (who will be dressed up as Princess Leia) into work to better my odds!

Then of course I will be taking the kids door to door to get myself...I mean my kids a bunch of candy!

I'd like to film it as well. It will depend on other people's effort and technology though. I'm fairly useless when it comes to all that.

No, no it's true. It's better that you come right out and say it rather than me stumbling through life trying to convince myself otherwise. However, I can still steal all your presents come x-mas... assuming I don't botch it.

You should also make your guests dress up and bob for apples ;)

I LOVE Halloween! So does my oldest daughter and my son Max. Our favorite holiday.
They have a parade here on Halloween, it is a BIG deal in our town. Kids can Trick or Treat the night before, October 30th, then go to the parade on Halloween. You get so much candy at the parade. It is just a few blocks from our house so we all walk over to watch it.

My anniversary is on Oct 21 so some year I am going to have a huge Halloween/Anniversary party, don't have the room in this house.

We have two of those big tacky inflatable decorations for the yard :p , we'll put them out in a few days, the neighbors will love us!

We are looking at a house and if we end up buying it will be able to go all out next year, it has a huge porch! I can't wait to decorate it!
